And the yuri audience wanted to see girls going through a "pure and chaste" love. I don't like yaoi or yuri either, I just know that yuri is much more niche than yaoi. I think a lot of women can sometimes admit that 2 hot anime guys having sex can be pretty hot itself.

But how many men (or women) are that charmed by such "chaste love"? Hell, even calling Yuri "chaste" is an insult to "chastity". Chastity is a virtue which is developed over time and with strong willpower. It doesn't mean boring or sexless. Yuri often just has little kids blushing at each other with these vacant eyes. In the end, most men aren't attracted to this, and of course most women aren't attracted to it.
