Perhaps the reason is that, imho, the level of the "autumn/winter 2016/2017" anime was very poor,
and I have to say that Keijo is one of the few, if not the only one, which I enjoyed

one more day until the outcome of Ketsukariba vs the new VAC, just noticed that Nozomi looks like a roach getting agitated before spreading its wings, truly scary.

I think that it's possible that the two will lose, and Kaya will play against Mio. Or Nozomi wins, time runs out and she's the only one to advance.
