On a positive note I think Gantz those deserve some praise for trying out new shit in general, I think it was one of the pioneers with the 3D integration to create manga as well as it's crazy story that very much so deviated from all the norms and tropes you'd expect in Japan, even character designs or monsters in general were pretty out there and unconventional. I think it was pretty creative and refreshing and that is worth some applause.

I just finished Gantz this week, after getting up to chapter 200 like three years ago, and it was a 6/10 at most.

Only good thing about it was the action, and some of where the plot went was entertaining. Everything else, like 90% of the characters, main one included was trash.

Vampire arc was just a big waste of time and plot progress, nothing fucking changed except best boy Blackface dying.

I mean, I've only read like less than 500 manga, but I honestly have no idea how people can think this was amazing in any sense except of reading for what a trainwreck it was.
