Shigatsu was pretty awful. Arima's PTSD lasted far far too long and Kaori spent too much time waiving her death flag.

Damn, i honestly feel bad for the people who don't like it. It's probably the best show of its kind, combining both high-school romance, character growth and dealing with loved ones death in a beautiful way.

The domestic violence scenes were very powerful as well and made me very uncomfortable. Not even going to mention the music and animation, they are perfect. Especially when they are combined - when MC-kun stops "hearing the music" - that shit was great.

Sorry anons, i honestly thought /a/ loves it and was curious why nobody talks about it - i'm surprised. But to each their own i suppose.

That was Clannad Afterstory for me. Shigatsu just feels overly melodramatic once the second cour rolls around as far as I'm concerned. It felt like the show was battering me over ahead to FEEL stuff in that second half rather than letting it flow naturally/organically, which is something I felt the first half did perfectly well if not great, making the difference ever more jarring. The only thing I really liked about the second half was Kousei teaching Nagi desu.

I don't see why people have the compare it the objective superior versions of the medium and not enjoy this one when you can enjoy it regardless. I'm impressed that the nips didn't made porn out of this though (or maybe it wasn't just scanned).

Had to stop watching 5 or 6 episodes in because the amount of melodrama over FUCKING NOTHING was getting unbearable.
