The world is more original (technically an American web novel created the BNHA world back in 2011, but I digress) than Fairy Tail's.
I'm not a professional reviewer and it's been several years since I read Naruto, but so far BNHA's storytelling has been much more concise than Naruto's. Naruto does get extra points because it was started with a very clear endpoint in sight (he wants to become hokage), but it gets those points removed because of the absurd wandering it took to get there.
Thinking about it, I guess the main reason I feel that BNHA is better is because I've enjoyed it more so far, but "enjoyment" is a vague concept that you can't really quantify.

I doubt it's the brightness. You seem them do this too in scenes with a lot of action, and none of them were particularly bright.
