No, Itachi is the only well-written character in Naruto.

Naruto will die. But his soul will choose to go back in time, the time when he was happiest, and he will be at season 1 first episode. Hinata who loves Naruto wants to be with him too and wants to be in a time when Naruto'd love her, but since he already loves Sakura she'll go back in time before Naruto is born, and become his mother.

It covers some of the light novels and the lead-up to Naruto and Hinata's wedding (but not the actual fucking wedding). There are some episodes directly after the final fight that show the backstories of some characters, and those are actually pretty well done and have a nice atmosphere to them.

To be fair, to Sasuke, it might have seem that Itachi was manipulated and put in a tight spot even though it was ultimately good for Konoha. Itachi felt guilt about it because he did massacre'd his clan and had to be on the run as a SS-class missing nin. Itachi should have not mindfucked Sasuke like that in some stupid twisted assisted suicide plot that would also give Sasuke the glory of avenging the clan and bringing down a notorious nin. It is not surprising that Sasuke grow up wanting only revenge and only know how to live that way.
