They pretty much have no sibling or personal relationship built up at all by the time the series starts. She's just a token imouto archetype that the author keeps trying to force as the lead girl despite being the dullest character in the series outside of the MC himself.

No but it's the same universe/setting. A good part of the Oreimo cast (Kirino/Kyousuke/Saori/Kuroneko and possibly Ayase) will likely make an appearance. They already appear in the novel for a very small portion. It's confirmed that Kirino/Kyousuke are still fucking and Kirino is bullying Kuroneko.

I really hope this is successful so they make a shitload of doujins for it
