Almost as if they were of the same kin right? it's like you watched S1 and skipped everything else with Garuru and Jewlie, mini-falulus and rosette pacts.
Production is too self aware, if they wanted to start from zero why would they carry Lala along? it's obvious they make things on the fly and made this new season as simple as posible to leave room for improvements. But it is better if you don't watch it, I don't understand how you finished 140 episodes while thinking that it wasn't an outsanding show and that they will pull something amazing when that's clearly not their strong point, everyone agrees Idol Time is the same as Pripara because it does conserve its essence which is not going nuclear in the first 12 episodes, but taking things easy instead.
You're right, if you're not watching Stars or Idol Time, there's no reason for you to be here.

There were a couple of (good) references to the original series in the first episode, and there will probably be more. I would also be surprised if they didn't bring back more characters, at least for cameos.

I watched the first half of the episode that was uploaded on youtube last week, and the only thing I really had to say about it was that I think they should have held off on announcing Berry Parfait because it felt like they were cramming too many things into the first episode. The rest of it was just some good fun, like the Lily capturing Yuzu scene, or Ako's reactions to getting her brand stolen. Although I'll be pretty pissed if Ako doesn't get her own brand.
That said, the second half of the episode felt like a completely different show. I don't think we've ever had a character quite like Elza in Aikatsu. She's another cute girl, but she's framed in a very antagonistic light. Also Yume trying her best to fight off Elza's seduction isn't really something I expected either. She wants to stay loyal to Starlight, but also is clearly tempted by Elza's offer.
I'm still not really sure what to think, but I enjoyed the episode. The visuals to Bon Bon Voyage were cute. I can't wait to see Koharu again next episode.
