MC is fine. He's competent at his "job", not ikemen but still good looking without some odd over the top design, don't act like a complete retard while can still smoothly say some lines that lead to cute scenes (like the "you look like a newly wedded wife" of this chapter). Now compare him with Raku, Asahi, Keitaro, and all the other embarrassing harem mc trash. For once there is an mc that actually looks like he could attracts some girls if put inside a favourable context.
The problem is that, like the other anon said, this series totally lacks substance, the author doesn't put any actual effort in comedy or in making actual SOL, or in the "study" part, or in some drama elements, this series feel just too "light" in content, and "just cute".
Still much better than shit like Nisekoi and most harem series since it also lacks their huge embarrassing flaws (the lack of a shitty mc is one of those), and thanks to that we can enjoy the well made cuteness without the costant stench of trash.

You're right. Raku was stupid as hell and I didn't like how they had to set him up EVERY TIME something happened. It was so generic and predictable all the time it was actually annoying. I read it good 30 chapters and enjoyed them but it's always the MC's lacking depth in stories.
