Show was fine.

Animation was generally pretty good, except for the absolutely godawful 8-fps, aliased, visible vertexes CG they used for mechanical objects (tanks, planes, ships). Like, seriously guys, the least you can do is throw a fucking filter over your ugly 3d models when you're rotoscoping so they don't stick out like a sore thumb.

Also, the visibly different art style of Visha or whatever her name is also was pretty distracting.

But otherwise, animation was better than expected for a first title from a new outfit.

Script/story was also better than expected given the source material. Obviously, if you don't like the concept, you probably won't like the show. But complaining about a pseudoperiod war piece for wanking over period references and trivia is like whining about a romantic comedy having too much awkward misunderstandings. It's what the core audience wants.

Overall, while the concept may not be to everyone's liking, the execution was competent.
