Time flies.

Thinking about the reason why I like the S3, it might be among other things the bit that seeing adult NanoFate together finally confirms how close they are together.
In S1 and S2 they are little girls for whom it's normal to cling to each other and be close. But it takes seeing them do thiswell, at least in the artbookwhen they are 19 to get the awesome satisfactory feeling that they stayed together, pardon my /u/.
>>155462378
10 years of having ruined Nanoha. What a milestone.
>>155462790
>I like the S3
Yeah another Nanoha hater, who would have thought.
Oh man, looking back, the StrikerS artstyle really was awful. Those triangle chins and kawaii uguu ワ mouths really aged badly.
>>155462931
>Oh man, looking back, StrikerS really was awful.
FTFY
>>155462790
>seeing adult NanoFate together finally confirms how close they are together
"how close they are with each other," I meant. I shouldn't post late at night while working.Glad they aren't alone, that would be lonely.
I love you Vivio.
>>155463258
She's the best. No one can ruin a franchise faster than she can.
>>155463211
>Glad they aren't alone
They will never be lonely Anon, or at least not until their daughter moves out of their home to start her own family with Einhart.
>>155463211
Hayate forever a third wheel.
>>155463336
Oh yeah, the daughter that ruined Nanoha. How could anyone ever forget her.
>>155463336
>with Einhart.
You mean Miura right?
>>155463341
Hayate should hurry up and start /ss/ing with their daughter or something.
>>155463372
>/ss/
Oh look, my theory that anyone who likes the shit parts of Nanoha is a newfag is holding steady.
>>155463372
Or rather, /ll/, fuck me.
>>155463421
>>155463423
>implying vivio isn't a reverse trap
>>155463423
>i fixed it, that means i'm not new, right?
To put it all into perspective, the first episode of Lyrical Nanoha Season 1 was aired in 2004. And Triangle Heart Lyrical Toybox was released in 2001, just a year after Triangle Heart 3. Nanoha is pretty much a 17 year old classic by now.I bet we're all wizards by now.
>>155463457
>implying vivio isn't a piece of shit
No wait, I forgot, I'm talking to a newfag who would rather Nanoha be fucking trash because it's funny, I guess.
I still remember how that group that subbed Nanoha and Nanoha As dropped StrikerS a few episodes in because there wasn't any loli.
>>155463341
Now that I look at the picture, they even drew her hugging a pillow, with her thighs even. That's cruel
>>155463372
>You mean Miura right?
Who knows, they confirmed the Ein/Vivi endgame and a future child for them, but Yumina will be a fierce opponent to beat.
>>155463475
Everyone can work wikipedia just fine, don't act like you're special for doing it.
>>155463514
I still remember when so-called Nanohafags actually liked Nanoha.
>>155463519
I like how they confirmed that even though both Nanoha and Fate are busy, they make time to be together in some way every single day. It's love.
>>155463519
They love showing Hayate like that.
>>155463606
It's great. Why would anyone ever want Nanoha to be good anyway?
>>155463606
3 hours of sexy time to be specific. Who needs 7 or 8 hours of sleep when you have such a beauty on your bed, 4 hours is enough.
>>155463667
Please stop replying to me, I'm trying to discuss bad anime in peace.
>>155463660
She gets to fuck Vita as much as she wants, she has nothing to be jealous of.
>>155463539
What if the producers had a change of plans for whatever stupid producer reasons? It looked that way to me, a bit.
Is YuminaPoochieof Vivid? Poor girl.
>>155462378
>yfw you are as old as your waifu
I don't like this. We had so much potential yet now we are both pass our prime.
>>155463739
Fuck off, you and your ilk killed Nanoha with no remorse.
>>155463742
>>155462378
I remember when it was first announced and people were posting scans of the comic. Everyone at the time were uncertain about the timeskip (I'm sure we all know this image by now).
One of the first pages of the comic was Fate asking Nanoha how they were going to get past a blocked roadway.
Her answer? "With magic, of course."
Everyone's excitement went through the roof. It was like 7arcs said "Yeah, we know you're unsure about this, but trust us this time."
>>155463741
>oh no, think of vivid!!
If I didn't know better, I'd think you were being sarcastic.
>>155463742
I wish I was as "old" as Fate in Vivid. Or even in Force. Or even 4 years after that.
>>155463812
Keep talking as if StrikerS isn't a fuck up of titan-like magnitudes.
>>155463797
>le smug shitpost for generals
This is the level of discussion that Vividfags promote.
>>155463852
Waifus are perfect because they are timeless.
>>155463852
I wish Nanoha was good again, or at least not complete laughable trash. Too bad some people here will do everything in their power so that it doesn't happen.
Where is Ron? Vol4 has been out for a while already.
Speaking of Vivid, what is with these most recent chapters? Why are we in some training caves in space china, what is the relevance to literally anything?
>>155463783
Yes, me torrenting Nanoha in 2012 murdered this Japanese franchise. And I did it all to spite you.
it's still funny Lolirider became a genki oujosama after having her hope and optimism: restored.
>>155463958
I think Ron goes by release and not necessarily because he thinks about it as often as we do.
He may not even know it's out.
>>155463958
>Where is Ron?
In hell, I'd hope.
>Vol4 has been out for a while already.
And that matters because? There are actual material worth translating and look at the shit you're worried about.
>>155463812
I git around to watch Nanoha S1 and As a year or two after StrikerS it aired (but before movies), so the timeskip/common bed was a known/spoiled given for me. Internet can suck.
>>155463985
You can act like you did nothing all you want, but you know what you did.
>>155464004
>There are actual material worth translating
Like what?
>>155463985
>Why are we in some training caves in space china, what is the relevance to literally anything?
Something something chinese dresses
>>155464004
>wishing someone damnation for translating a cartoon you don't like
You need a hug.
>>155464070
The PSP games, for one thing.
>>155464101
Who here hasn't played those already
>>155464086
Man, there's no need to worry. I wish eternal damnation for you too.
>>155464101
>expecting a scanlator to translate a video game
I normally just ignore you, but you must literally be a fucking retard
>guys why isn't he also translating this sound stage? I mean comics, sound stages. They're all the same, right?
>>155464128
Who the fuck is talking about playing? Do you not know what "translation" means?
>>155464143
>transcribe dialogue into some webpage somewhere
>translate it
Wow, that sure was difficult.
>>155463475
The happy time when Tsuzuki was still into big furry ears.
>>155464101
There is a guy posting translated scripts of the psp games to nanofate, he also was making youtube videos with subtitles but I don't know if he still makes those.
What is the worst Nanoha series? I didn't watch most of the early ones.
>>155464190
>yeah man just translate the dialogue, it's just like scanlating a manga. What could go wrong?
That's great. In fact, if it's so easy, then you should be easily able to produce a text dump of the game.
You wouldn't even need to translate it, just dump the text to a file and maybe a translator will come along later.
Go on, it's "easy", right? Sure was difficult? I'm glad I didn't say something STUPID like asking a scanlator to work on a completely different medium.
>(nasally dipshit voice) ERR, ACKTUALLY GUYS. VIDO GAMS AND MANGA ARE BASICALLY THE SAME CAUSE THEY'RE FROM JAPAN. I LIKE THIS ONE MORE SO PLEASE LEARN HOW TO DUMP ROMS FOR MY SAKE THANKS BYE
>PS: I THINK YOU SHOULD BURN IN HELL PERSON WHO IS DOING THIS FOR HIS LOVE OF THE FRANCHISE. YOU KILLED MY FRANCHISE BY LOVING IT, NYYUUEEERRRRRRRR
>>155464190
Whats the point of doing that if you don't want to play it?
Its a game. Normal humans play games, thats what they are for. Translating it as a text is pointless.
>>155464293
Force
>>155464262
I'm pretty sure you're talking about the summaries. And no, those aren't ideal at all.
>>155464293
>I didn't watch most of the early ones.
Of course you didn't, Strikekiddo. Also StrikerS.
>>155464320
I followed the chronological relation route, none of the supplemental series.
>>155464316
>Whats the point of doing that if you don't want to play it?
What the fuck are you talking about now? Am I really talking to a human here?
>>155464314
>like asking a scanlator to work on a completely different medium.
Really? Wow, I didn't know manga Japanese and videogame Japanese were different languages.
>>155464293
Worst is probably Force.
Second worst is ViviD. It's an okay series but it's really going no-where.
Third worst depends on what you like about the franchise. I say Strike, but Strike itself isn't bad because of its merits but because it doesn't feel like it goes anywhere.
First-cour StrikerS is worse than Strike, for instance. (PS: StrikerS and Strike are two completely separate, unconnected series despite having 'strike' in the name)
>Nanoha and Einhart collectively bullied Fuuka, and ignored Vivio altogether the moment they met in Reflection bonus drama CD
I never would have expect to see Einhart turning out to be more similar to Nanoha than Fate when she first appeared.
>>155464365
>I followed the chronological relation route
>and that's why I missed most of the early stuff
>>155464320
>I'm pretty sure you're talking about the summaries. And no, those aren't ideal at all.
I'm not following the thread but these are supposed to be translated scripts http://nanofate.us/forum/natus-guide-psp-games?page=1#comment-40528
>>155464386
Go on, dipshit. Produce that text dump if it's so easy.
Retard cunt.
I wouldn't mind you so much if you weren't so fucking stupid. If you were any way knowledgeable about anything you talked about; then I would gladly accept your opinion. But you're not, you're a half-witted retard flopping around every thread we have demanding we bend to your soft-palate, underdeveloped, fetal alcohol will.
>>155464403
Waow, isn't that really awesome? Wasn't it really worth it to see the franchise degraded to the point where you can point at that and say it's good?
>>155464314
Fate sure knows how to enjoy Nanoha.
>>155464444
The quad quads speak the true
>>155464494
I wonder if Fate enjoys BDSM because it reminds her of her mom
>>155464432
I watched
>Movie 1st
>Nanoha A
>StrikerS
Dropped somewhere around Stage X or Vivid I don't remember.
>>155464494
Fate knows who the real man of the relationship is.
>>155464536
She would say no, but subconsciously it is surely the reason.
>>155464434
I'm not sure I'm reading this right but isn't this just Sequence 1 and nothing else?
>>155464444
Suck a chode, ron. Oh yeah, you really love Nanoha don't you? People have been asking for proper translations for the PSP games for how long now? I can't remember, do you remember? After all, I'm pretty sure you've been here a long time and didn't come here just to piss on the franchise some more with Vivid Strike.
>I wouldn't mind you so much if you stopped disagreeing with me. My opinion is FACT
Suck it.
>>155464536
Nonsense, Lindy wouldn't do that to her.Lindy is her actual Mom. Precia is a child predator who just happened to be her mother
>>155464541
Well, you're on the right path. I guess you didn't know, but most of the stuff you missed are retellings and such so you're not missing much.
I still stick with my answer that StrikerS is the worst season.
>>155464553
Fate is the ultimate Neko.
She will never get to top Nanoha, no matter how princely she gets to look in her barrier jacket.
>>155464575
I wonder if she ever accidentally calls Nanoha "mommy" in the heat of the moment.
>>155463336
>>155463372
Vivio is Hayato's plaything.
>>155464642
Was I supposed to watch the ComicS shit? If it wasn't main story I wasn't going to watch it.
>>155464660
More like Nanoha is the plaything of the fans that fucking hate it, like you.
>>155464592
>a bloo bloo bloo why won't someone invest weeks of their time to dump this game? IT'S IN JAPANESE, RIGHT? IT SHOULD BE EASY
Retard cunt.
Every time you try to post about something you say something unbelievably stupid. Something so stupid that I'm baffled that you're even able to mash the keys in the right order to respond.
No, faggot. Both being in Japanese doesn't mean a scanlator can dump a PSP game for it to be translated. I don't even know why you think it's that easy other than the fact that you have zero coding, translation, or just functional skill of any sort and just assume everything is super easy because the Dunning-Kruger effect hit you really hard and you think you're just amazing at everything.
Neck yourself.
>>155464653
I wonder.
>>155464684
>Was I supposed to watch the ComicS shit?
Nah.
>>155464660
Please stop giving my penis these hollow dreams.
>>155464444
>>155464528
>quad quads
Deserved, I think it put into words the feelings of many anons. I'd sign it myself, complete with the heartfelt insults (I smiled reading that fetal alcohol bit).
>>155464722
Someone redid that doujin with high quality scans.
It's on exh.
>>155463741
The japanese looks like they are having fun with this triangle. Most of them seem to be treating Vivio as Einhart's (former) girlfriend while Yumina is her current wife.
>>155464722
This is cute but also profoundly discomforting
Passionate sex with Nanoha-mama!
>>155464706
>if I use long words then that means I'm right
Try harder.
>wow you think it's so easy but it's not!!
You'd have a point if you weren't translating Vivid Strike episodes barely any time after they come out. Oh that sure is difficult, took so much time, holy shit.
And why oh why do you keep going on about hacking the game? Have you heard of fucking playing it or looking at a walkthrough on youtube and transcribing the text?
>b-but it's not the same
Right, I suppose anime Japanese is also its own language.
>>155464786
>Deserved
Of course it is. We need to banish any and all true Nanohafags from here, right? We have to rewrite history so that everyone thinks A's is bad and StrikerS was a good thing.
>>155464763
>>155464660
Everybody is Hayate's plaything.
What makes you think Vivio is special?
>>155464869
You are right, everyone is the plaything of "fans" that hate them.
>>155464803
We're going down a daaaark path.
>>155464869
I want to join Hayate's harem.
>>155464803
Do not cuck your mother Vivio.
>>155464817
I didn't give you permission to quote me you double nigger
Sorry you can't google long words, I guess.
>>155464620
That's harsh to Precia. She got completely mad, it was a tragedy and she deserves pity as much as Alicia.
Fate at least got better. (And survived, thank God. Imagine if the writer decided to be edgy and in episode 13, it would turn out that Nanoha didn't catch her and she's dead.).
>>155464951
>I didn't give you permission to quote me you double nigger
I don't think anybody gave you permission to kill Nanoha, so we're even.
>Sorry you can't google long words
Oh please, don't project on me.
>>155464620
Fate has two mamas.
>>155464388
Strike's problem is that it was full of broken promises.
They set the tone early on for something actually serious but then it was just sports drama to the very end. Also we never got to see Rinne or Fuuka show off their magical prowess even though they teased it with that picture of Rinne firing off a bigger bombardment than anyone in Vivid can.
Tsuzuki had two actually decent cast additions but ultimately didn't do anything interesting with them.
>>155464954
>Imagine if the writer decided to be edgy
Nobody has to imagine anything. Remember Vivid Strike?
And apparently edgyness is a good thing now. It's like I'm in bizarro world.
>>155464921
Vivio should make Fate call her 'mama'
>>155465015
>Tsuzuki had two actually decent cast additions
Who?
>>155464994
>so we're even.
Good, let's all drop it then.
>>155465051
That's the next phase after she gets Einhart to call her that.
>>155465015
I pretty much agree
>>155465078
Sure, I don't think I need to prove you wrong any harder. Though sadly that won't stop you from still trying to kill Nanoha.
>>155464954
>That's harsh to Precia. She got completely mad, it was a tragedy and she deserves pity as much as Alicia.
And this kids is the problem with propaganda films
>>155465130
Oh boy, here we go!
The whole family is here!
>>155465051
How long until that actually happens? We know Tsuzuki doesn't give the slightest shit about Nanoha anymore.
>>155465015
>Episode where Rinne beats the shit out of the bullies
>interview where the director or tsuzuki or somoene says the fights will get more violent
>there isn't actually any fight as violent as the bully beatdown
I'm still mad.
>>155465035
>And apparently edgyness is a good thing now.
We're talking about a franchise that became popular because its central plot point was a 9 year old being sexually abused by her mother in a BDSM dungeon
>>155464911
It's very selective you know.
you have to be
-A girl
-Have big boobs
>>155465175
That's not edgy, that's just dark. There's a difference.
Reminder that Vivio (age 6) is the best girl.
And her growing up is as much of a shame as Nanoha growing up.
>>155465189
Vita disagrees.
>>155465233
It was graphic fetishism played for shock value. The only thing 'dark' about it was the last 25 shades of grey, it was pure early-2000's edgy
>>155465174
THIS
This exactly.
This is exactly how I feel.
Strike's excitement level was really ramping up
And then suddenly
>Pfft guys sorry we lied to keep interest. Buy the Blu rays!
No, Tsuzuki. I will not buy your blu rays.
Not even for hotsprings episodes.
>>155465283
>Reminder that Vivio (age 6) is the best girl.
Reminder that you never liked Nanoha in the first place.
>>155465168
Just looks like a really popular doujin to me. Not surprising considering there's only like two nanovivi doujinshi despite the demand.
>tfw zero (0) vivifate doujinshi
>>155465305
Luckily I'm in a StrikerS thread, not a season/movie 1 and 2 thread.
>>155465287
Yeah, of course you can't pick up any nuances. You like Vivid Strike, after all.
I bet you think Einhart beating people up with that ridiculous mask is edgy too.
>>155465283
Reminder that Shamal (6) is actually the best girl in the franchise.
>>155465174
>interview where the director or tsuzuki or somoene says the fights will get more violent
Pretty sure that interview was from before episode 4. They were saying that episode ONE is mild compared to later episodes after all.
>>155465341
Wow I suddenly like Shamal.
>>155465329
And? You still never liked Nanoha and you really need to stop thinking you fool anybody by acting like you did.
>>155465341
Who?
>>155465387
I hate Nanoha.
>>155465367
It's been a while but I thought they pretty explicitly said it would get more violent as the series went on.
>>155465367

Cue the hordes of newfags that will defend it.

>>155465394
Shamal is the best tittymonster
>>155465456
She just needs to get out of that restrictive dress.
>>155465443
Actually the only way the original interview could be considered truthful to begin with is if the bullies being beaten up isn't considered a "fight" within the series.
>months later and the same autistic troll is making the same autistic shitposts about people hating Nanoha and people still feed him
Really cracks your ships.
>>155465498
>the only way the original interview could be considered truthful
Why would you want to do that? The dude fucking hates Nanoha. Of course he'd lie. His fans will eat up any shit he puts on their plate anyway, why not lie and get a few extra bucks? What are the fans going to do? Demand a higher quality product?
>>155465542
Not responding to him doesn't work, and responding to him doesn't work.
We'll just have to wait until he gets bored.

The fights did get more brutal I think. Although not as much as I thought, after Miura. There was not as much injuries after that.
>>155465630
>The fights did get more brutal
Indeed. Remember when Vivio punched the lights out of Fuuka 50 times in one cut with the same five badly-drawn frames of animation?
>>155465542
Ignoring him and talking about the other stuff being talked about works a bit more than responding to him. It doesn't make him disappear, not even bans do. But we'll be able to have normal conversation on top of his background noise.
>>155465630
I guess they did become a little moreso, but everything seemed pretty tame compared to episode 4. Maybe they underestimated just how impactful that scene would be, but that would still be a pretty absurd oversight considering it's the first animated blood in Nanoha since, what, StrikerS?
>>155465734
>Maybe they underestimated just how impactful that scene would be
With how trash management is these days, I wouldn't be shocked at all.
>>155465754
>>155465425
Well, Fuuka, her teeth, and a car were sent flying, the ground were breaking, etc. The fight did get more violent, there was just less blood.
>>155465790
That's really comparable to the big battles from first two seasons.
"More violent" my ass.
>>155465838
>ED and LM.
What?

I don't agree, but I can understand why. It's by far the best mating of technology and magic in the series.
I wish they kept up the pace with it.

That's neat. I actually enjoyed what Nanoha was all about before they decided to bury it for some reason, so my personal favorite is A's.

I feel like a given person's favourite season depends a lot on what kind of genres they like.
S1 is my personal favourite because I liked the slow pace that built up to emotional character drama, but I know a lot of people dislike S1 for the very same reasons.
StrikerS did a lot of things well, particularly with regards to being a sci-fi action series with a big world to build and a lot of diverse characters to juggle. It's kind of hard to compare the first 3 seasons to each other because they all had very different strengths and focuses.
>>155466147
I kind of want to have Force animated simply because I want more of my genki cyborg.
>>155466204
We got RedSubaru-mama, I say thats the best we could have gotten
>>155466508

Except it hinges solely on whether that person likes or fucking hates the first two seasons.
>StrikerS did a lot of things well
You're a riot, man.
>>155466508
This is why I like S1 but I don't like the 1st Movie.
A lot of the charm just got boiled out of a show that is supposed to feel like a generic Mahou Shoujo for the first part.
>>155466534
It's not the same, Nove is not a baka and doesn't have a hot girlfriend
>>155466534
>we got shit that kills Nanoha even faster
And this is a good thing?
>>155464802
The author kind of explains what they were thinking at the end.
>>155466621
>writing so bad they need to explain what's happening
So the badly-written show spawned badly-written doujin.
>>155466147
It's a shame she didn't get more focus.
I liked her at first, but it felt like the introductory episodes set her up to be a protagonist and she ended up not really being one. At best she was just Tia's sidekick until the big climax decided to separate them and have her play around with her freshly introduced sister instead.
In a lot of ways, StrikerS felt to me like it was an introduction to the whole expanded universe and widened cast of characters that the spinoffs and sequels never really explored fully. I feel like I was promised something that then got deferred indefinitely, particularly where the spotlight for some of these characters were concerned. Why did Fate's kids suck up so much screentime with their "GARYU!" playdate in the big finale when they had been so irrelevant leading up to it?
>>155466534
RedSubaru-mama is great, I agree.
But still, Blueberry > Raspberry.
>>155466721
No, the shame is that she got any focus at all.
>StrikerS felt to me like it was an introduction to the whole expanded universe
By getting rid of everything? Are you fucking drunk?
>>155466601
>>155466621
Sounds like the author was as put off by that as I was.
To be honest, handling any kind of depiction of intimacy with an abuse-victim character must be difficult. You either have to ignore that side of them entirely, and thus do something of an injustice to the character, or just take the plunge and try to tackle some rather uncomfortable material head on.
Makes me wonder if they woke Fuuka up.
>>155466721
I agree, and feel that was probably the end-result of either burnout from the writing staff or perhaps not getting the reaction they wanted.
Which I find strange considering StrikerS was the most popular season by far. You would think there would be spinoffs everywhere of it.

>>155466721
StrikerS feels like a show that had too many cooks.
I know we supposedly have a central person designing the franchise, but StrikerS felt like the few shows made by committee. As in everyone had an input as to what should happen, and a lot of things got thrown in that didn't really need focus.
StrikerS would have been better as a 12 episode series about RF6 and the fight against Spaghetti. Anything else would have been way better as an OVA, such as Caro and Erio's adoption and date.
>>155466840
I'd hazard to guess the approach they took was just to stuff StrikerS with lots of different stuff so they could take whatever turned out to be the most popular and roll with that as the new direction of the franchise, but then fumbled their follow-through somehow. I don't really know how, maybe it really is just burnout from the writers
>>155466991
The fault I'm taking with it is that it's written like shit. If the author has to step in and explain what the fuck happened, in what world would that be considered good writing?
>>155466894
It literally is. Sales say it is, polls say it is. It's a known fact.
>>155467046
Is this your first doujin, afterwords are very commom
>>155467062
>sales and polls from when the piece of shit was riding A's coattails
Nice source, faggot.
>>155467043
I can sort-of guess why based on what they did after StrikerS.
They tried going in two directions, Force and ViviD. Force was shot down, so they just assumed ViviD was the way of the future. In a way, it seems like a failing of multiple parts of the marketing/writing staff.
>>155467098
Not ones that literally go "i know i wrote this shit badly, here's what i was trying to convey and i have to tell you this in this manner because i'm a fucking hack and couldn't integrate it properly in the story"
>>155467048
I'm actually a little offended that they would delete ACK's much-less disruptive posts and leave Bitch-kuns constant whining for the entire thread about "STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE".
It's way worse and way more disruptive to have at least one post per regular post that's just a shitpost compared to one guy making a single post that quotes a bunch of posts. I much rather have the guy posting singular posts with quotes than the guy who goes out of the way to shit on every post in the thread individually so it's harder to hide him.
>>155467046
No, it's actually a very good doujin, you haven't even read it, because you're not a fan of Nanoha. And the story works fine even outside of what the artist says about it.
>>155467130
Here's your (You)
>>155467043
>the approach they took was just to stuff StrikerS with lots of different stuff so they could take whatever turned out to be the most popular and roll with that as the new direction of the franchise

>>155467019
StrikerS feels like a show that should have never been made.
I mean, what was so wrong with A's that they couldn't make a simple fucking sequel a la Reflection?
>>155467157
That's not an argument.
>>155467136

>>155467194
I didn't give you permission to reply to me, faggot.

>And the story works fine
Clearly it doesn't because the author himself has to step in and clarify.
>>155467233
>mods defending bitch-kun
Do they just not know, or are they clueless? Would multiple reports help?
>>155467136
100% agree. Bitch-kun is a far bigger problem than ACK has ever been. But I feel like Bitch-kun is getting a pass since deleting the crack that he posts would been seen as giving into ACK's demands. The whole situation is a fucking mess.
>>155466951
>When you will officially adopt Fuuka, having some random teenager live in your house is gonna put off potential girlfriends
If they were real girlfriends, that would be a turn-on.
>>155467277
An author explaining their thoughts is nothing new, what's even more funny is you didn't even read the pages posting in the thread. Because the characters with in the context of the story recognize it as a joke.
>>155467356
>An author explaining their thoughts is nothing new
Sure, but this is an author explaining what happened.
>>155467277
She didn't need to do that to make it clear, it's common to have notes about the plot at the end of doujins.
>>155467304
I don't think it's that complicated.
Bitch-kun is annoying but all he's doing is obstinately restating his opinion over and over in a slightly confrontational manner. If that could get you banned then half the board would cease to exist.
>>155467380
>doesn't even read what he's talking about
>doesn't even read the posts he's replying to
The author is literally restating what is said in the doujin itself.
>>155467442
>Bitch-kun is annoying but all he's doing is obstinately restating his opinion over and over in a slightly confrontational manner.
No, he's spamming. He's repeating the same thing over and over again in an attempt to disrupt the thread.
ACK spams way less than he does because he will only make one post and quote a bunch of posts he finds offending. Bitch-kun responds individually to every single post, and then to posts that don't address him or have anything to do with him. There are twenty posters in this thread of 200 posts, and as a quick count I estimate that maybe 80-90 posts are his alone.
That's just outright spamming. He's been banned for this before, but he just evades and carries on like nothing is happening.
StrikerS was a show with too much runtime but not enough actually happening. It might've been a situation where everything they wanted to fit in caused a traffic jam.
Consider, if you will, all the TRAINAN that happened. Now of course the point of the StrikerS unit was for Hayate to produce a crop of elite soldiers.
but then you had Dr. Spaghetti and his generic shitbot grunt units (which hung around FAR TOO LONG) and his 12 combat cyborgs (all of which he took care to impregnate with his own clone while using the crappy robots to carry out all his attacks.) His agenda? Just a simple arms merchant, displaying his wares and trying to collect materials to resurrect an ancient Belkan war god/machine of unrivaled destructive capacities.
And then you had the whole "gee Nanoha the TSAB is actually pretty much an unethical totalitarian dictatorship, isn't it?" angle going on with Loli-Rider and the cloned magus project which TSAB brass were trying desperately to cover up. Due to REASONS they were working with Dr. Spaghetti.
There was too much going on, not ever managing to mesh together, and somehow all that runtime getting pissed away between TRAINAN and Vivio has TWO mamas!
>>155467442
>all he's doing is obstinately restating his opinion over and over
>Global Rule #10
>No spamming or flooding of any kind. No intentionally evading spam or post filters.
He's guilty of all that.
>>155467511
I think 7arcs was thinking "Oh! We have a real budget AND we get a two-cour show! We can do things with this!"
Then they didn't do anything with it.
> (all of which he took care to impregnate with his own clone while using the crappy robots to carry out all his attacks.)
Thankfully retconned
Again, I think StrikerS should have been RF6 centric, and all those other subplots dropped.
>>155467619
Shine on you crazy diamond, keep on being you.
>>155467564
>Thankfully Retconned
Is it?

This was part of what upset me most about StrikerS. The world they lived in fucking sucked. It was a horribly corrupt dystopia and the characters were all tools to some really unpleasant system of power. Worse yet, they were conscientious, willing tools.
I remember there being a subtle detail that really threw me for a loop when they offhandedly mentioned an entire city directly adjacent to the capital was sitting there abandoned. They never gave a reason for why a whole city, infrastructure and all, had been abandoned. I guess it worked to give the characters a playground where they could break stuff and not worry about collateral damage, but shit goddamn. Imagine driving 10 minutes from your house and finding post-apocalypse new york laying around because your grorious military dictatorship just couldn't be arsed to either maintain it or level it.
The dystopian stuff totally didn't work with the interpersonal side of the show. Don't give me characters struggling tooth and nail to save a world that's not worth saving.
>>155467714
No it wasn't retconned, it was just ignored.
>>155467726
>The world they lived in fucking sucked. It was a horribly corrupt dystopia and the characters were all tools to some really unpleasant system of power. Worse yet, they were conscientious, willing tools.
Me, personally, am still salty that they never addressed the floating brain thing again.
Who took over after those brains were axed?
Was that really necessary for the function of the TSAB?
>>155462378
Honestly, if they'd trimmed the fat out of the training stuff, it would have been a lot better
>>155467482
It literally says in the afterword it's a "justification".
>>155467743
Those two are very different, mass abortions still happened
>>155467356
He will just automatically claim it is bad, because it committed the crime of feturing adult NanoFate.
Don't bother talking to him.
>>155467511
At least one post that makes sense.
It was all the result of shit planning. What did the show gain from having a whole NINE episodes (over third the runtime!) of filler training shit?
>but muh epic schooling of teana by nanoha
And was that worth it to be left with a group of villains that are nothing more than a bunch of cardboard cutouts and deus ex machinas? (not to mention all the other shit in the plot)
>>155467803
Read the doujin. Hell, you don't even have to read the doujin, read the one page of it that was posted in this thread.
>>155467816
They aren't even adults in that doujin, they're 16.
>>155467726
>Don't give me characters struggling tooth and nail to save a world that's not worth saving
All the common people you see in StrikerS are good and nice people. Of course it is worth saving.
>>155467808
Yeah, that's the subtext, the fact that they didn't graphically show the abortions doesn't mean that the robot pregnancies were retconned, the whole thing was stupid to begin with so it was good to not waste time explaining that.
>>155467726
>Imagine driving 10 minutes from your house and finding post-apocalypse new york laying around because your grorious military dictatorship just couldn't be arsed to either maintain it or level it.
Y-Yeah, "imagine"
>>155467875
16, 14, that's not important to Bitch, he is a retarded raging autist.
>>155467875
The afterword says everything I need to know. Because the author couldn't be arsed to properly write the details into the story.
>>155467907
>the fact that they didn't graphically show the abortions
>>155467952
The detail you are complaining about is something they are restating from the doujin's story itself. Within the doujin's story itself they say they are kidding about the mother-daughter play.
That's the problem with you being ignorant and you refusing to read anything.
>>155467726
I see the problems you have with it and it pretty much stems from the fact that they tried to distance themselves as much as possible from what Nanoha used to be one season prior for NO reason. The worst part is they didn't even commit to that decision.
>>155467511
>Consider, if you will, all the TRAINAN that happened. Now of course the point of the StrikerS unit was for Hayate to produce a crop of elite soldiers.
Maybe if they had better spaced out the training it would have worked better as is. However, from what I recall of the series, since I last watched it maybe 5 years ago, it was a bunch of TRAINAN and then things escalated really fast with Dr. Spaghetti.
>>155467906
Which begs the question on why the TSAB is so corrupt.
Or why that was even brought up if it was never to be mentioned again.
>>155468004
In the one page that was posted in this thread, Fate doesn't say it's a joke, Nanoha does. And that doesn't take away the fact of the fucking afterword.
>>155468156
DUDE MORALLY GREY LMAO
>>155468088
Well yeah, they basically took a mahou shoujo series and timeskipped it a decade into the future and into a completely new science fiction setting.
I don't necessarily hate sci-fi, so I don't hate StrikerS, but it's still such a baffling decision to me that they would take the franchise in that direction and move so far away from the tone of the first 2 seasons. They almost could have just made a completely new franchise at that point.
>>155468156
Writing a story about solving corruption takes effort. Why would you want to do that, you could just write a story about lolis in a bathhouse and rake in all the money far easier.
>>155468156

>>155468160
What's wrong with the afterword? That it restates events that happened in the doujin?
Nanoha could tell Fate was joking, why are you too stupid to?
>>155468156
I find it that it was completely due to lack of world building in general.
I mean look at the TSAB. We have no idea how their government structure is like. A vague idea of their military and how much a clusterfuck that structure is. TSAB society is never really touched upon at least in StrikerS.
It went wild with a new setting without actually explaining how any of setting works. This isn't Nasuverse. There's not a series of two giant VNs that gave a general rule set to tie multiple stories into.
