I pondered a few ways I could imagine her going out - and I really think it'd be interesting if she was Snow White's first kill. After all, everything Pity has done is because Snow did not kill her and instead spared her life. So if Snow were to kill her, it would be a very bitterly fitting end to her, in my opinion.

From Limited, what I got was that Pity wanted to be an ideal MG but discarded herself as a candidate because she was a perverted hairfag, but after getting mad at Tot Keek's death, she thought that it might not be entirely out of the question. At the very least, she wants to raise ideal MG candidates and perv on girls.

I think a good way to kill her is when she actually does do good for the world in a completely altruistic fashion. Then judgement catches up with her, because one good deed does not excuse a lifetime of evil. Rather than be jailed, she chooses death.

Today, there was a drug trafficking ring in a warehouse on the outskirts of the city. The Land of Magic had given her orders to raid the warehouse, and to report back once she’s captured all the rogues involved.

While kicking the walls of the building, Magical Daisy’s body twirled halfway in mid-air.

Fair warning: The first book is easily the worst of them, not because it is bad, but because it is unpolished in comparison to the following ones. I'd recommend watching the anime adaptation as it was wholesome enough and expands on some characters here and there. The only bad thing about it is that there's one character that's portrayed terribly because her inner thoughts are not presented for the viewer so she comes off unlikable as heck. Watch one episode and then reading the LN until you catch up with the episode you just watched is the way to go imo.

tl;dr the "translation" Kuso-kun is a terrible translation. It has things that have been mistranslated, entire sentences or paragraphs skipped and omitted and last and most definitively not least has outright made-up stuff on it inserted by him to the point the personalities of more than one character and even pivotal events are literally not the ones in the actual novels. It's literally fanfiction at times.

People took his translation for granted and everyone trusted him but some moonspeakers here and there started to notice discrepancies with what people discussed here with what they read until the whole mess got uncovered. And in the end when the "translator" came here to explain what happened he admitted that he had not been "translating" but rather had been "writing from memory and filling up the blanks" to pump out content faster. And what's more, his knowledge in Japanese was extremely basic as proven by various moonspeakers during the whole mess, and by his inability to defend himself or his "translation" and it's a fact he never had the balls to admit. In short, he deceived everyone with a fake translation and people went nuclear when the whole mess was uncovered, people with common sense at least.

The damage is already done. Even if he released perfect 10/10 translations for everything right now I wouldn't feel like reading them out of sheer principle and because everytime I touch them I'd be reminded of the whole mess.

The fake translation is certainly an issue, but all this mess could have been avoided if he had been upfront from the get-go. Had it been a "Oh hey guys I don't know know nip too well but I'll be providing some semi-detailed summaries if any people who are more experienced at Japanese wanna help me to translate then I'd be happy to join hands" then everyone would be happy and without issue. It wouldn't be the first nor the last time a fanbase has lived out of detailed summaries.

The deceit and the lie is the killer here, and that's why so many are so upset and aren't willing to give him a second chance. He pulled one over all of us, got discovered, and simply excused himself and shifted the blame to many things all but him and then covered the lie with even more lies. Any measure of trust of him has been irremediably broken.

It was the most wonderful tumble into the abyss I've felt in a while, just a slow descent into rage, cruelty and unrelenting sadness and it was fantastic. It had some really fucking brilliant themeing,

I get the feeling that its meant to be a criticism on the post Madoka "Edgy gritty" magical girl genre whilst being one itself. How the bright vivid colours at the start of the season eventually drain entirely away. The most obvious metaphor being that Snow White represents the more innocent and fun lighthearted shows. But overall it feels as if the story itself is sort of bereavement from the writers and creators at the state of Magical Girl anime, how tiresome the dreary edgy stuff is getting and they worry that maybe the genre is losing part of what made it so appealing to both boys and girls by trying to be something it isn't. But at the same time embracing that same edgy gritty aesthetic and why people enjoy it with the takeaway line being when Hardgore says that "Black and white makes a beautiful colour" line, which is obviously supposed to say that "Hey instead of just making one and dismissing the other you should embrace both dynamics because they're both good."

I love the characterization too, like how without a single line of dialogue you realize why Ripple cared so much about Top Speed, Top Speed was a mother figure to Ripple, somebody who never really had a mother who's trust of men was ruined by her step dad, she found herself being "raised" inadvertently by Top Speed who became her de-facto mother figure (The fact that Top Speed is pregnant and is literally "a mother" is a pretty good giveaway of that.)

It was a fucking great series, and I'm really mad I dismissed it months ago.

It's really well done and has some masterfully well done writing and characters in it and the fact people are saying its "no more than a 6/10" is fucking bafflingly to me considering how much it does right.

The only thing the anime fucked up was SW because it didn't portray her thoughts which are vital to her character, Ripple to a lesser extent because of how she feels for SW. Everything else felt on-point to me.

Yeah well the adaptations are never as good and it had its problems. The pacing was really weird, where it was really slow at first and then after episode 3 it just went pedal to the metal and started to feel really rushed. The most blatant example of this is that girl Roboloid who was introduced in one episode and then left the scene, then got her introduction (which was great) and then immediately died before we got time to see her really bloom. Which sucks because she was my favorite and then she died.

Plus Snow White practically vanished in some episodes and we got no real development for her in the middle of the season.

But besides its flaws it was still very impressive and still very well done. Its hardly less than a 7/10, anything less than that is dishonest I think.

If the writing is as good or even a little bit better than the show its already got me hooked. I would love to see and read more.

Magicaloid was a bigger literally who in the novel.

Unmarked is very unpolished and it shows, specially with how it tries to close-up everything. It has first novel I don't know if it'll get axed or not syndrome. It being just one novel while other arcs occur on two of them also leaves much less space for the characters to develop as much as they could.

She was a great "villain" theres something about her I'm missing though which I think I need to read deeper into her character because her motivation seemed like there was something else behind the scenes, that her obsession of being in charge and usurping Ruler came from something else. SW was interesting but very on the nose with her motivation and character, which is fine because like I said I think she's supposed to represent the more innocent colorful and genuine Magical Girl stories of helping others and being a good person and having candy coloured poofy dresses and pink hair. Her development was really weakened by the fact that the story largely stops being about her in the middle of the season and only comes back to her occasionally to get a reaction shot of her, this really hurts her dyanmic with Hardgore I feel.

Ripple was great and probably the best developed, her backstory was interesting, they did some really clever subtle shit to help establish her character and motivation without using dialogue which is always good and as I said before she really becomes good when you realize her attachment to Top Speed is literally just because she was so desperate for something that even remotely resembled a mother figure and that shot where you see here staring at Top Speed's pregnant corpse is really powerful because of how she views family and how her mistakes basically led to her destroying a family, perhaps stating that she regrets how she handled her mother after the whole "getting felt up by her step dad" thing. Anyway Ripple was a great character, seeing her go "Full KISAMA" at the end with the half blood "muh dualism" face put a dumb grin on my face, oh and her tits are fucking great.

La Pucelle was a nice twist and an interesting concept and it sucks we didn't get more time with him, he probably could've benefited from another scene or two of character development before his death seeing as how pivotal he was to the story and SW motivations. His design was good too, except the tail and his tits are also great but I actually really like the eyes on his character, they're so striking so I spent more time staring at those in scenes though which seeing as he's a trap, I don't know if that makes it better or worse.

Weiss Winterprison and Nana were great, but individually they were pretty boring. I am glad that they actually went to the effort to develop them before their deaths, which was very much needed considering how those scenes are so like emotional curbstomps. Their shtick of trying to get others to help got old eventually but it got so fucking wonderfully dark when Weiss died, the scene where she's just sitting on the floor trying to down painkillers and alcohol in silence is gut wrenching and of course the scene where she hangs herself with her wife's scarf was so unbelievably abyssal that it was almost a little too goofy but regardless that I was laughing as it happened because I had no other way of coping with the emotion of that scene besides shock and horror.

Hardgore Alice was my favorite in the second act (after my previous favorite died) good motivations and a sad compelling backstory, cute design, horrifying potential with her power, plenty of set up and pay off, very well done. She however died a little too early and like Trap Knight she would've benefited from another scene or more before her death, plus she's a goth lolita and I am a simple man who loves all Goth Lolitas intensely.

Tama was another gut punch character, her design is stupid but I feel as if thats the point. Her like flashbacks before her death were so cruel. All she wanted was somebody to say she did a good job and instead the show bullied her to death.

Ruler was weird, I liked her character but it felt as if she got more establishing then she really needed as opposed to most of the other girls who didn't get the establishment they needed, she felt like she got too much considering how quick she dies. Still she was interesting and her motivation was very solid, she was one traincart away from screaming about "Being X" though which probably made me like her more than she deserved.

Cranberry was suitably annoying, but she was way too deadpan though for her motivation, being to just murder everybody for fun. Plus we barely saw her besides when she murdered La Pucelle and then promptly fucked off for the rest of the series until the end.

Top Speed was great, her design was fun, she had a great personality and it was pretty clear my favorite parts of the series were the scenes with Ripple and Top Speed just because the way they interacted was so compelling. She will NEVER EVER have a happy family or be the mother she wanted so desperately to be though because there is no god and only cruelty remains in this abyss. Stabbed right through the womb too just for more "fuck you" points.

Nemu was a sweet darling angel and she was too pure and good for this world. Her death was tragic but at least she died peacefully in her sleep and no cruelty ever came of her. God rest your soul Sleepyneet

Calamity Mary was another great character. Her motivation was a bit wobbly and I get the feeling that again if she had another scene where we saw what her life as a regular woman was like she'd be a lot more interesting. That said she was still great and seeing her slowly going insane when she realizes all the power and money she wanted still isn't enough to make her feel whole again culminating in her gunning down innocent people including children. That shot through her scope as she just chases after that man with her bullets is genuinely disturbing

Yuna and Mina are scum and subhuman and I am glad they are fucking dead. The show spent way too much time on them, their motivation wasn't that great, their design was obnoxious, their voices are annoying and Mina killed my gothic loli and I can never forgive them for it.

Finally Magicaroid who was and probably still is my favorite character. Her motivation was fun, her outlook was great and the show did a great job of establishing her as monster even before she started trying to murder people with the whole "Economic realism" thing where. That said its annoying we got literally 0 establishing from her because her motivations were by far the most interesting, why help the homeless man, why trust Calamity Mary, who was that chick she was housesitting. She was great, her design was fun and her voice actor was fantastic, listening to her talk was like the best part of her design.

And I think thats all of them, unless I'm forgetting somebody else.

It's worth mentioning that Sister Nana's whole peacemaker act is just that and what she really wants is to stir up conflict because she has a fetish for being rescued. The anime barely hinted at it but she's actually a somewhat rotten person and committed suicide in large part because of the guilt from taking it too far.

I really enjoyed the juxtaposition of her looking like a nun, yet being so distant from"traditional" christian values: openly being a lesbian, committing suicide, and actively stirring up trouble.
