I know it's a classic but it's definitely not a timeless one, now a days it's a film with so many bad clichés. The romance was pretty stupid and most fights were 100% asspulls.

In a way, I can see why it received so much praise, it has good animation, all the fights have their own unique style and it's a very direct action film without wasting time in making up for a plot that is going to be stupid anyways. But if an action film fails when it comes to action...

Also the main villain along with his final fight were retarded.
