And when I finally read the manga those side characters are even more shallow and dull. Jean, Connie, Sasha, etc. never amounted to anything. the atrocious pacing and developments in the manga killed any hype I had for SnK 4 years ago.

I tried watching the newest episode, but seeing that church drama when you know how fucking stupid it all gets really turns you off the show.

I can still watch S1 just fine and enjoy it, but the end of S1 is here SnK goes to shit on every level. It has some good scenes after that if you look at them in an isolated case, but the overall story is just crap.

The generals are constant. I feel like that's a good sign, and it's nice that the fans are concentrating themselves into one thread instead of taking over the whole board. Keep it classy, SnK people.

Caught up with the latest release of the manga and I wouldn't mind the anime to go full original considering the manga went full retarded with Mahr, and the army.
Humanity would dispatch Livai's squad to Shiganshina, where Sieg embush them and crush them with the help of his two soldiers, they would then proceed to eradicate humanity thus fulfilling their roles.

Why did they release the first season in 2012, knowing fully well that they wouldn't have enough chapters to release a second season until 4 years later?

They should have just gone the 2003 FMA route and made up another ending. It would have been a million times better than what's happening in the manga right now.
