Remove Iok from the show and at best the Jasley thing would've happened, but most of this leading to it was contrived.
All this fighting was resolved peacefully, all you had to do was kill three seven stars members and get Meatdad into power and keed Kudellia alive and everything ended on a really positive note.
The raid itself was half assed, all you needed was to missile and dansleif spam and same results happened, hell did anyone really need to die at this point outside of Mika and Akihiko, Gjallarhorn never bothered to chase them up.

The ending was like christmas to me - I thought for sure Rustal was going to get some deus ex machina death, with monkey being the conciliatory lamb of slaughter for Mikazuki's last stand - but it never came. Gali actually winning was the best surprise, but having a realistic, bittersweet ending is so much more fulfilling and novel than what I thought it was going to be.

It's a show with the typical war-is-bad message but the main kick is that there are a gorillion different factions which also have their own sub factions with own interests.
So unless you really get into it you will probably have no idea whats going on and why people are doing what they are doing.

G-Reco should be way better than it is. It has a lot of interesting ideas, factions and settings, but basically the show glosses over all of them. The show is 26 episodes, if it had been a proper 50 episode Gundam series it would be great, possibly one of the best; as it stands its just sort of mediocre.
