it was entertaining

Original series was GOAT.

AO is generally considered shit, but the only thing I hated about it was that godawful OVA episode.

Haven't seen the movie so I can't say anything about that.

The story doesn't hold up that much, but the music, action sequences and art hold up pretty well.

I liked it when I watched it, but I'm pretty indifferent about it now because of the movie, AO and these new movie remakes. I seriously think my favorite part of the franchise now is the PS2 games because Bones just left it the hell alone.

And the movie was quite ok

Watched the first 9 episodes which were boring as fuck. Dropped it and never looked back

I've only watched the original series as most other things seemed like it was infected with AIDS.
I enjoyed it quite a bit although Renton could have been a bit less whiny without me complaining.

Loved it, for the most part. As a whole it's fucking amazing.

I hated the series because of useless and whiny the main character was all the time.

But the movie scrapped all of those bits and left me with the good parts. So ill take that over the full series any time.
