I want to see more of this couple but I doubt they'd ever show up again

I doubt 2D. Regardless, I imagine it could be difficult to decide how to move forward with the 3D.

The quaintness and charm of the original visuals are undeniable but it seems possible they'll have more budget and possibly staff going forward if it does well which makes it tempting to update and enhance.

I think KyoAni is probably the most capable studio out of those three to carry the banner. Especially if Naoko Yamada was involved.

It'd lose some of it's original charm but I feel like they'd find a different way to keep it charming and preserve the intent of the show.

The whole Kemono Friend popularity boom reminds me of Ghostbusters, a silly little comedy movie that was never meant to be anything more than that, but exploded in popularity overnight and no one really knew what to do with. So when KF S2 comes out it will be okay but will just make you want to rewatch S1.

I myself am very optimistic, i kept on expecting them to drop the ball on the ending, but they kept on surpassing my expectations.

I don't get how people could have watched the finale and still not have confidence that a possible S2 would be just as good as the first. As long as Tatsuki is around they definitely know what they're doing.

Their thing, and they do it every time, is they make the same episode twelve times, and call it done. They literally cannot cope with the idea that their characters might change or grow in any way, and every minor foray they ever make, they immediately reset-button so as to not get scared.

Look at: Chuuni eps 10-24, K-On!/!!, Phantom World, Yuriphonium.

If KyoAni had made kemono friends, this scene would never have happened, because it would just have been a string of "let's meet friend-of-the-week, and resolve nothing, and maybe chuck in some yuribait that goes nowhere".

By all the characters, it's more like just Kaban and Serval and Boss. The rest of the side animals benefited by interacting with them, but they can still change more (although whether we want them to or not is different). I don't know why, but I have a shitload of faith in Tatsuki and the team. I had it after episode 11, too, even when the rest of /a/ seemed to be in meltdown, and they showed me that I was right to keep believing.

Honestly the thing that worries me the most about S2 is the thought that we won't get to have our comfy little threads as it airs like we did for S1, since initial interest levels will be so much higher and all of the otacool meme hipsters will inevitably be tipping their TOP NEP hats all over the threads.
