I think it transcends eras like few others

I'm also amazed at the things they could get away with animated even if they were significantly toned down from the manga. Like when mainstream cartoons in the west were purely kids entertainment you got Lupin flashing titties and boozing.

Wait for the American BD release which might take awhile to be honest. I think it's worth the wait though. No reason in rushing it and watching shitty fansubs for such a great movie.
