I think Forte actually has more character as a goofy gun nut in the anime than she does a serious squad leader type in the games.

That's the thing about her in the games, she strikes a near perfect balance of knowing when to let shit slide and goof off and when to crack the whip and get into gear. You can only be so much of a gun nut without Normad to shoot at.

I remember playing some flash dating sim back in the early 00s and it was this series.

In the game she has so much fucking heart, she just wants to not be a burden to her friends or Tacto-san. Always quietly running off to help with any minor problem or chore someone has. In the third game she even has to deal with her nanomachines attacking her love but she fights through it! Vanilla is the cutest! Vanilla is the strongest! Vanilla is the best!
Best voice too, behind Yukarin.
