The part that bothers me is that I'm sure kids liked the PPG for its contrast of cuteness and violence, that fits pretty well with japanese television

Well, for being an adaptation of an american cartoon, it doesn't look half bad, at least judging from the intro. Looks like it could be fun.

It was a cute magical girl show, just not a good PPG adaptation.
