Every time Kishimoto pulls a scene like that spread panel it looks like its traced from a photo taken by a pro photographer regardless of how bizzare it is.
The beauty of his art is how he connects us with his fictional world by making everything looks real.

Where are fucking backgrounds?
I unironically enjoyed reading Naruto up to Jiraiya's death but outside of architecture his drawings are bellow average.

What's so great about it? Naruto has art that alternates between boring and crappy.

Been just getting into it, had it spoiled though that he never leaves Genin for all 700 hundred fucking episodes. What.

I've been rereading Naruto a bit and despite Kishimoto having some real cool choregraphy ideas, he can't translate them well on paper.

He'd need a better drawer to do that stuff for him. That's sad because his fights are full of interesting things. Look at Naruto vs Pain for example.

Kishi is shit hot at drawing anatomy, especially hands.
You can always tell an artists talents by the hands are they are the hardest thing to draw.
I really like the clean look his style, very professional.
