Yeah, that's pretty much the one show remotely able to carry on the torch. It was really alight this season though, to excess pretty much, so it's just that and LWA. However I would half-expect that LWA actually get more of a plot/action-y, so while a fun series I wouldn't think of it at all like I would something like Dropout.

Generally speaking a 1 cour anime lasts 12 episodes (+OVA, sometimes). A 2 cour anime lasts between 24 and 26 episodes (again, + optional OVA). An OVA or Original Video Animation is a bonus video (or nowadays DVD/Blu-Ray) handed out with certain copies of the source material in Japan.

A big hint that an episode is the last episode is because the transition to the ED is somewhat different (which was the case in EP12 of Demi-chan) or the OP starts playing during the episode itself.
