Volume 16 will be released on May 18th.

It's really nice he have been speeding up the volume releases since anime was announced so they can catch up more with the magazine releases.

To give an example, when volume 16 is released the magazine raws should be about 20 chapters ahead of what it covers. While when volume 12 was released, the magazine raws were 35+ chapters behind.

This doesn't make too much sense to me. I don't doubt the translation is correct since 2 people have checked it, but when you reduce something to ashes, I imagine that something being a solid. The incense fart is not a solid, it's a gas. You're converting a gas into a solid via an explosion, which doesn't sit well with me. Something like this would make more sense:

Of course that wouldn't be what it says in the original text, but I think you would still convey the message while making it a bit more physically accurate.

Chapter 142.5 Keijo History

Fuyuyu is scolding Yuzuki saying the history of keijo is more complicated than she thinks.

Over 10 years ago they decided to create a new gambling contest based on female ass sumo. Before it was officially adopted, it would go through a test period of some years.

At the time the West was stronger than the East, with the likes of Ujibe Nagisa (first generation prize queen), Fujisaki Reiko and Tsukino Sakura, bringing a lot of excitement to the West.

But around the time that official adoption was decided to happen in 2003, that power balance suffers a complete change. The main cause was the special training suit, the Unlimited Underwear developed by Fujisaki Reiko and her husband.

Fujisaki was worried with the East being weak and distributed them to East players. The effect was tremendous resulting in many new fighters with a power the Weest players couldn't stand a chance against.

Because it's effect was too big, they decided to forbid it's use while Fujisaki takes responsibility for bring chaos to the Keijo world and retires. But the East power doesn't decline, and sicne them they dominated the top.

Ujibe who senses an impending crisis from the situation joins Setouchi's teaching staff on 2004. On the same year, Sakashiro who was said to be Ujibe's rival, announce her retirement and joins Suruga's staff.

Ujibe use her extensive experience to train many promising players, but because of a series of misfortunes they weren't able to change the balance of power.

In particular Sakuragi Sumire was able to climb all the way to S class, but after an accident with her sœur she ends up falling back to B class.Also there were big expectations for Ai as the Fujisaki second generation. She also reached S class, but after some trouble with her family, Ai changes her player name and affiliated branch having to start back from C class.

The antagonism deepens between the West which wants to regain it's former glory and the East which wants to preserve it's strong asses.

In 2013 Ujibe was able to get many promising players like the swimming gold medalist Kusakabe Mio. They who were talented at other sports were able to achieve great results, and got Setouchi's first victory after 10 loses on the West-East war.

They were labeled the promising stars generation, and even as rookies they would get victory after victory against their seniors, and even won many East races.

At that time Fujisaki Reiko stats distributing the Unlimited Underwear to powerful West players likely because she heard of the rookies accomplishments and thought right now was their best shot at correcting the balance between East and West.

Then the West Ass Alliance leader, Kato read the current situation and starts gathering strong rookies. A rumor starts spreading that they are coming to seriously defeat the East. The tension between East and West worsen.

In such a tense situation, for Yuzuki to retire and to make her Ass Graduation Festival to also allow A class (which has many West players) is basically declaring a war between the two sides.

Which is why Fuyuyu wants Yuzuki to at least reconsider the participation requirement. But then she notices Yuzuki was sleeping through her explanation.

I think it's very likely they will fight Yuzuki at the end of the tournament or she will go back on retiring. I can't imagine she would retire without having a serious bout with Nozomi, considering Yuzuki is on Fuyuyu's level, uses the same type of techniques as Nozomi, and on the previous match Yuzuki didn't had to go all out as she kept one eye closed throughout the whole race.
