Sort of, but I doubt anything other than some random appmon will ever die (hopefully not oujamon). Minerva is backing them up in the deep web, so they have a deus ex machina available when things get too bad.

But Rei's brother is probably an appmon at this point. And if the other way works it would mean Ai can really be Minerva, not to mention when they were rescued they ended up exactly in Ai's basement.

Well I don't expect anyone to die permanently in digimon, the only characters I remember forever dying and being reincarnated into a digi egg are tamers leomon and some mons in savers.

Appmon erased seems to be lost forever though, no indication of there being a digi egg. I have no idea what would happen to the chips of the combined forms though, they probably stop working until finding a replacement of the same type.

I'm making an effort to like it but some of the latest episodes are so filled with QUALITY that's it's getting pretty hard.

I like it. Its aimed at kids but its one of the few shows that shows how technology, AI, social media and data affects our daily life in modern society. Also I really like the opening.

They got an AI researcher as adviser, which is why the setting and explanations are fairly accurate for a fantasy kid show.

It's basically an alternate history scenario in which the first AI wave was successful due to a genius scientist (Haru's grandfather) and the internet was developed over the AI technology.

Oh and there is one good thing about the timeslot change. It's not getting moved to a deathslot like Xros Wars did when it got pushed to 6:30am from evening weekdays.

Appmon is simply moving from 7am to 9:30am on the same day.

Is awesome and probably one the best kid anime currently airing, and i really like how consistente is whit the power levels
