It was pretty good especially the middle portions of the show. AO on the hand, just don't bother.

i actually found the one-off episodes, where it's just the cast goofing off and having fun more interesting than the overarching plot and thankfully there are a lot more of those.

DEWEY WAS RIGHT

I enjoyed E7 quite a bit, but it seemed to think good character development is Renton complaining about how worthless he is for a good chunk of the series, manning up a bit, complaining again and then finally becoming more tolerable.

I don't know if it is a cultural thing with Japan since I've seen more anime that does this. The whole thing with people whining about how worthless they are gets old fast, in my opinion.
