S3A8 had its entire life offscreen between eps.
Aikatsu 8 was something they realised they didn't actually want to deal with since it chews a lot of eps usually, but they had somehow written it into the Aikatsu calendar.
They built in a number of "it only happens once a year!" events into OG, and then realised in horror that they'd actually have to do them once a year. It's part of the reason for the Stars reboot.

Note how Stars has very few non-seasonal annual events.

There was a talk show about Kinpri 2 today at AnimeJapan 2017 with
Terashima Takuma/Shin
Hatanaka Tasuku/Taiga

They recently finished dubbing the movie.

If you watched all of the Pretty Rhythm series so far, there are a lot of homages which will make you grin, and a lot of things which will make the fans happy.

In the script, besides their lines, there’s a lot of instructions written about how the scenes go etc, and there's a lot of things Terashima didn't get, even more so than Kinpri 1(Remember when Kinpri 1 got released, he said some scenes transitions or instructions in the script were weird but turned fine in the movie, like Shin being at OTR’s Prism Show and then jumping on his own bicycle trying to imitate them). However Nagatsuka said he got into his role faster than when recording Kinpri 1, showing they’re getting used to the world of Pretty Rhythm.

Hatanaka said the movie is 100% pure fun and hotter than anything. Nagatsuka said the Prism Shows got a “x300 power up.”. Igarashi said “not even 300, it’s 500 or 600 times more awesome”.

At some point it seems Igarashi accidentally talked about a particular scene’s recording and spoiled that scene, but reports don’t say what it was about. (Maybe people who were there wrote about it on 2ch or twitter I’ll try checking later)

During the second half of the talk show they answered fan questions about their Kinpri characters. The questions were sent via twitter prior the event.
One of the questions was what kind of item did the characters bring with them when they left their parents’ house to go live in the Edel Rose dorm. Terashima said Shin would have brought a soccer ball since he used to do soccer. Hatanaka said Taiga would bring a training weight to attach to his leg to practice.

Then they talked about the upcoming duo units singles (they will be the same as the pairings on the advance tickets). About why Shin was paired with Kakeru, they say it’s because Shin has a pure heart which complements Kakeru’s. (imo that’s another hint Kakeru will betray Edel Rose)

Then they talked a bit about the onsen collab launching april 28 iirc.

Then they ended the talkshow thanking everyone for their support. They also wanted to see the continuation of the story and they’re really happy it was made possible thanks to the fan. Lastly, they said you should get really excited for Kinpri 2 because even if you do it will still exceed your expectations anyway.

Good, this is all I'm waiting for, while PP inherated PR's impressive factor when it comes to lives they didn't touched the super cool and awesome territory that much, only some MD could fall in that category.

I thought it held up pretty well, though it is clearly its own thing. Some of the episode were not that great but none of them were really "bad" animation is kind of cheap at times. Characters are likeable and well characterized. The overarching plot was well handled and had a satisfying conclusion. Rose is the best.

When the PV came out 2chan was discussing Lala's role in Idol Time and other random things about the continuity, but that level of jap is way ahead of me.

But then SYSTEM ERROR and she can't PriPara Change! Shenanigans ensure, also clocks everywhere including in the music clip for the OP,, sorobably time plays a role.

We knew a bit more about Lala's character than we do Yui's, although Yui's far from a black box, but it's hardly as though we have no idea what we're getting into.
