Why is no one else saying anything like this?
Pacing for an anime, making things easier for us morons who can't handle the idea of several different episodes happening simultaneously, fags who don't enjoy lizard-sex as much as the rest of us...there are so many reasons to interlace the separate books a little to present the story in closer to chronological order!
Too many casuals would give up too quickly without their favorite Denizens of the Great Tomb on the screen for an extended period...even the core fan base has extremely mixed reactions to the lizards....this sort of attitude could cost us seasion three, if not handled carefully and somewhat appeased.
There is plenty of material available to do regular cutscenes, apart from whatever the current main narrative thread is, and several of the books chronologically take place at the same time, which confuses most audiences when watching a episodic drama as a seasion. They can cut back and forth a little bit, to give everyone something to watch, until they get hooked on the larger story (not even gonna talk about how people would probably react to Climb suddenly becoming the main character without any of the familiar faces on screen for episodes at a time).
Interlace a few books, hold on to your audience.
