How can such a short series top the majority of anime from 2016?
>>154864505
That's the power of Trigger when they do shorts
Long productions end up to be relatively weaker
>>154864505
You posted the wrong one, faggot.
>>154864505
Imaishi is the single greatest active anime director, what did you expect?
>>154864505
Because most Anime in 2016 were terrible
>>154865277
This
>>154864505
Outside of the animation, this show had nothing going for it.
>>154865277
It was a shit year.
From what I remember the few things worth watching:
1. Luluco
2. Mob
3. Rakugo
>>154865569
>Outside of the animation
Anon are you okay? Outside of a little sakuga in the final episodes, the animation was barely above Inferno Cop tier.
>>154864505
>2017
>still pretending Trigger's Tales of Shit Noone Cares About: The Secret Origin of Our Retarded Mascot was good
>>154865716
Yeah it's not like people already liked the series before the final twist or anything.
>>154865698
The writing and premise were terrible. I wouldn't say the animation was amazing, but that's still all it had going for it.
>>154864505
>when your half assed show has a better love story than your show about relationships
I want to feel bad for Kisnaver
>>154866245
>The writing and premise were terrible
Maybe you're just dumb.
>>154866245
Luluco is literally inferno cop's successor
I can't tell if you're shitposting to be this retarded
>>154864505
It's also Triggers best series
>>154865932
>Trigger niggers
>people
>>154864505
How can puppet series top the majority of anime from 2016?
>>154864693
This awesome except the end.
>>154866396
>>154866334
Not shitposting. I found it legitmately terrible.
All the dicksucking /a/ does for this show compelled me to watch it, and I found little about it to enjoy.
>>154866403
It's good but not as much as KLK.
>>154866396
Wrong- it was an attempt to create a successor by people who never understood what anyone liked about the original; see also: pic related.
>>154866536
Do you like inferno cop?
If not Trigger's probably not for you
>>154866619
Luluco obviously didn't want to be another Inferno Cop, whose failed successor is clearly Ninja Slayer. If I had to think about the series closest to Luluco, it would probably be FLCL, ironically enough.
That said, Diebuster > Gunbuster.
Luluco is Evangelion
>>154864505
who is worse
kyoanifags, or triggerfags?
>entire series of Trigger jacking themselves off over all the GREAT series they've done
>best of anything
>>154866617
Only thing KLK has going for it is the soundtrack and character designs
>>154867798
Hey they have some greatnon maincharacters
>>154867049
Where's Midori wearing Mari's plugsuit?
>>154867798
What an uneducated opinion.
>>154867241
>entire series
Only 4 episodes out of 13 have characters and setting from older shows, and even in those the focus is always the Luluco/Nova relationship, not the references that are only there to be functional to the "twist" at the end.
>>154866441
Actually lold
>>154866536
>All the dicksucking /a/ does for this show compelled me to watch it
>listening to /a/
You're a moron
>>154867119
Are those really the only studios with autistic fanbases?
>>154869135
No.
They don't have fanbase ber say, but they certainly have detractors.
Which is bound to happen when you somewhat go against the grain in one way or another.
>>154866441
Go back to whatever shitty site you came from cancer
>>154868037
>the focus is always the Luluco/Nova relationship
You say this like it's a good thing.
I honestly do think Luluco was the hypest show to wait episodes for each week, and was overall a really solid series in comedy and action. My only major complaint is the 3rd quarter of the series, where the show goes Onore Decade and visits past shows. The worst episode was definitely the 9th one, where it was an exact repeat of the short it was set on. Other than that, the show was just fun.
Midori best girl.
>>154864505
Because it's a successful loop.
>>154869135
I can't think of any other studios where people pretend to like their shows just because the studio is making it
>>154870327
Did anyone pretend to like Kiznaiver? Or Inou Battle?
>>154870490
yes.
>>154870549
Nah
>>154864550
I've thought about this for a while and that was pretty much the conclusion I came to as well. It feels like the longer a format the bigger the chance that Trigger loose whatever adrenaline is driving their series and fall into mediocrity.
>>154870757
Kill la Kill seemed to do fine, for the most part asides from the middle
But I think I saw a screencap saying how they blew their budget the next 5 years or something
>>154869526
But they're the greatest love story ever told
>>154870254
This anon knows
I never made it past the first couple episodes because I saw Imaishi using his "hilarious" animation where character cels just slide around on screen.
People said this is good but I can't trust them because people also said KLK was good.
>>154870961
Not people's fault that you have shit taste.
>>154867950
Midori would be Asuka. Don't you dare lower Space Nonon to Mari's level.
>>154871117
Yeah, this is the pinnacle of good taste right here.
luluco was top tier japanimation
Trigger already had a short teaser featuring all 3 of their mascots, right? You think we'll see their origin stories, or will they jump straight into adventure at the same time?
Midori was the best girl
God, no. Luluco was terrible.
>>154871406
I'm guessing they won't show everyone's background.
Luluco is the main mascot and that's why she earned the part of revealing Trigger Girls at the end.
>>154871164
B-but she'd look cute in Mari's plugsuit is what I meant to emphasize.
>>154871164
deletor post more
>>154871172
That's perfectly functional tweening animation. The second episode was a big homage to Ace wo Nerae and employed various such "low budget" techniques, tweening, sliding layers, painted stillframes, limited animation. All completely legitimate animation methods if properly used.
Is that all the problem you had with the series?
>>154871164
Unless you're implying Asuka had a crush on Kaworu, the no.
Midori should be Misato.
>>154864505
Because Midori
>>154864505
Because if Trigger knows one thing, it's that when you have a shoestring budget, you write your stuff accordingly instead of cuttin on everything so the basic project can be shoehorned into a few pennies worth of production value.
>>154865601
Shakunetsu was my favorite thing to came out of 2016.
>>154864505
It had potential but then it started to treat itself as a 100% gag series to introduce the trigger girl. Midori was best girl.
>>154871172
Static shots with only a mouth moving, if that.
KLK-style cheap animation shenanigans.
You have the budget for only one. Most opt for the former, Trigger tried out the latter. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's any cheaper than anything else.
>>154864505
I loved the OP
>>154866768
You are a man of taste, anon.
>>154864693
this
>>154864505
It happens.
Why is Luluco so thirsty?
>>154877728
Nova-kun is a very very hot guy.
>>154877807
Panty must have completely drained him by now.
>>154877807
Is that why his named after a super nova?
I feel so fucking dumb
>>154878195
No, he's named after Nova academy from LWA
>>154877728
No mother figure
>>154878439
I don't see any relevant connection outside of it just being an existing Trigger franschise. I feel like they're more creative than that
>>154878094
I want NTRfags to leave

Anon....http://imgur.com/a/2zjrf

>>154878838
Hey they do meet up again in Kiznavier!although if what Tuttun said about them trying to acquire PS's rights it very well could be
>>154864505
It's the culmination of everything Trigger made up until that point. How could it not?
>>154878838
Luluco's tits are a miracle of the universe.
This show had only one problem, and that is the fact that Midori was kind of pointless.
She was fun and I liked her, but she was kind of just there all the time, doing nothing.
>>154878195
nova (n):
a star showing a sudden large increase in brightness and then slowly returning to its original state over a few months
Kinda like when you're a teenager and get a crush on someone you've only seen from a distance and you think you love them more than anything else in the world but then over time your feelings simmer out to more realistic ones.
Also foreshadowing his relation to the Blackholeians, as a supernova is the most important step in a star's transformation into a black hole.
Excellent ending, the symbolism was really empowering considering the shit that I was going through when I watched it
