Kinda hard to say, Fist of the North Star began airing, and in the same year Lupin III anime got a third part. There was also Lion Force Voltron, which was one of the first anime I've seen, so it holds a special place.

I've only seen one TV anime from my year, 1990, Nadia, but it happened to be pretty good at least. If I've seen any OVAs from that year, they were forgettable, and Lodoss was boring.
