Here's what I hope happens:

Both Akko and Diana are trying to solve the same problem that is plaguing the world, but have differing views. Akko is more idealistic/optimistic, and Diana is more pragmantic but takes to extreme methods that may include collateral as she values the good of all over the good of a few, and believes Akko's methods leave too much up to chance. They clash over this, naturally. That would make a decent end-game plot for this, IMO.

She tried to train Chariot to unlock her seal, but Chariot only unlocked 6 of the 7 words, as evidenced by Episode 1, where Shiny Rod only has 6 stars comprising it. That's also why Ursula's copy of the Arcturus Words has the topmost one as basically illegible. She doesn't know what it says either, because she never unlocked it before losing her YAY. That's why Woodward is so insistent that Chariot help Akko to unlock the Words, she wants to get free and is upset that her investment of time and effort in Chariot ended up not panning out.

Even her name is a blatant clue.

She's sealed in Arcturus WOODS and under a magical WARD that is sealing her away.

She can only manifest during a Blue Moon because the magic inherent in the night allows her to push against the boundaries of her prison and form a physical body.

I understand that this is a kids show so people aren't going to be looking too deeply into things, but at least pay a bare minimum of attention to recognize plot twists.
