Just a storytime for the sake of it?

The story of Ciguatera follows Ogino, who is bullied in high school along with his friend Takai. The two rely on their passion towards motorcycles and desire to get one to add some hope and vigor to their otherwise bleak lives. The two are learning to drive in secret at a driving school, and it is there that Ogino's life begins to change forever. The manga follows a variety of characters through their high school and working lives, through their struggles, their triumphs, their dreams, their futures, their love, life and loss.

I fucking love Ciguatera. Anyone who liked Wanitokagegisu should check this out as well (also Himizu).
>>154794507
I don't understand why people call this manga "realistic"...
>>154794555
Minoru Furuya's works always have a surreal comedic aspect to them that pushes them out of the bounds of reality, so calling them realistic is a bit of a stretch.
I love his style, though he needs to work on not making his endings shit.
>>154794778
Ciguatera's ending was actually realistic...
nobody changed
>>154792078
I'm guessing this is nothing like Boku to Issho?
>>154796110
Nope

Himizu was great.
>>154802179
it was donnie dark-ish
Ciguatera is a foodborne illness caused by eating certain reef fish whose flesh is contaminated with a toxin made by dinoflagellates such as Gambierdiscus toxicus which live in tropical and subtropical waters. These dinoflagellates adhere to coral, algae and seaweed, where they are eaten by herbivorous fish which in turn are eaten by larger carnivorous fish. This is called biomagnification. It is not known why the fish are not affected.
How does this compare to punpun?
>>154802601
I got the Inio Asano vibes from this too, I don't know how to explain it.
>>154802601
Both are about growing up and has a lot of dark moments, though there is a bit more of comedy in here.
Also both have questionable endings
>>154802665
This guy's series usually have very realistic characters, even if some of them seem unlikeable or exaggerated they're probably like someone you knew in school. He also writes good female characters.
For anyone that likes punpun you should watch the live-action version of Himizu, it's a bit different from the manga.
>>154802858
I heard the live action of Himizu is completely another thing
not surprised
dont know why live action are so popular now.
>>154802966
I mean, why they don't invest good money on anime again? it seems they're only targeting those who want to see super ecchi stuff
I know...this is so unrealistic
>>154803632
Damn, son.
>>154803663
Yeah, it's weird...i dont thing it'd wold happen in real life
>>154803727
Strangers things have happened, anon. Life is a wild ride.
