I guess it doesn't _have_ to be natural, and yes, I understand anime-aesthetics is all about exaggeration, be it facial features or body.
But this one just seems weird, even for a drawn anime girl. Her buttocks are like balloons, and while you could argue 'the rounder, the better', full-on spheres don't convey the same kind of image you would expect from a (anime) female.
I don't want to say I'm an artist, but I have been criticized of drawing unnatural proportions plenty before (and looking back, that was completely true), and I guess that's what I see first. My first reply was perhaps a bit too succinct, sorry. On another note, the art is very pretty, and the figure itself is well made.
