That 5000 is just some of Nazarick's standard defenders (above the infinite regular respawning POPs).

Actually, now that I think about it, the Slaine Theocracy is severely underestimating the Sorcerer Kingdom's war potential. Moreso now that Ainz is getting further reinforcements and NW training from Lizards and augments by Dwarven Runesmiths. And of course, air transports and bombers courtesy of the Ice Dragons.

Ainz should mass produce Crypt Lords. They can summon 20 Death Knights each. Death Knights create Squire Zombies. Squire Zombies create Zombies. Much more effective than summoning DKs himself since the Crypt Lords then do the micro and Ainz doesn't get overloaded with his summoners bond. The Crypt Lords are also Commander-types so having them command squadrons is way more effective than having one general commanding thousands of low tier scrubs.

The permanent DKs were mainly for E-Rantel control alongside the permanent Soul Eaters, as well as reinforcements for Nazarick's own defense population (now that the NW doesn't have restrictions on NPC defenses).
