I agree, but it got outhand. Natsu being tsundere (thinking he didn't really care if Machi left, only to find out he cares a lot) was dumb, but whatever.

The old cunt was supposed to be more comedic in nature, because it was physically bullying. But Machi she often threatened and hurt Machi over things she had no control over, and the comedic effect was gone.

The cousin was the worst offender by far. He's supposed to come across as an idiot with a heart of gold, but all he cares about is himself; he thinks helping the village via Machi will make him successful. His antics just came across as idiotic and heartless.

Yeah, the bullying in the first episodes by Natsu was good because it was in good fun. By the end, the characters were just making Machi suffer, and to top it off, she is the one that gets the short end of the stick.

Absolute shit. I don't mind if you liked the cruelty, but don't call it bullying, because you're wrong by doing so.
