Who is the best anime music composer and why is it Kenji Kawai?

>He did the Ip Man soundtrack
huh.
Only really knew him from anime and toku, but he's great

Why would you make a thread and end it in the same post?
Ryuichi Sakamoto

Kawai is up there, but I prefer Hisaishi. My ranking:
1. Joe Hisaishi
2. Yoko Kanno
3. Susumu Hirasawa
4. Shiro Sagisu
5. Kenji Kawai
6. Naoki Sato
7. Taku Iwasaki
8. Yuki Kajiura
9. Toshio Masuda
10. Kou Otani
Honorable mentions:
>Ryuichi Sakamoto
He's only done the soundtrack for one anime, Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise. However, Sakamoto is on par with Hisaishi and would be tied with him on this list if he composed for more anime. He's the only Japanese composer to win an Oscar after all.
>Nobuo Uematsu
Final Fantasy series composer. Only anime he's composed for is Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. A legend nonetheless.
>Nujabes
Loved his soundtrack for Samurai Champloo. RIP.
>The Pillows
Looking forward to seeing them come back for FLCL 2.
>Naruyoshi Kikuchi
He had an amazing debut for Gundam Thunderbolt. Looking forward to hearing more from him.
Lastly, Hiroyuki Sawano sucks shit. All his music is phoned in symphonic shit that sounds the same for every show he composes for. He is literally the Hans Zimmer of anime. Once you heard one Sawano OST, you've heard em all
