He's only done the soundtrack for one anime, Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise. However, Sakamoto is on par with Hisaishi and would be tied with him on this list if he composed for more anime. He's the only Japanese composer to win an Oscar after all.

Final Fantasy series composer. Only anime he's composed for is Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. A legend nonetheless.
