I slightly disagree anyway. It's true Fairy had way less screentime than he should have, but he was also clearly more important than the other side characters and was given more focus than them and had a loose but unexplored bond/discourse with the other main two that no one else had. It didn't feel like there was nothing there, just that they set up these things and simply chose to not explore them as much as they should have. Literally the only issue was the lack of screentime, so it's not like she's pulling shit out of her ass. If she wants to expand upon the inner-thoughts of the characters, she is within her rights to do so. She should have put it in the actual show yes, but time and priorities etc.

I think if they are going to advertise him so much as a main, they should have given him more screentime but I'm also not complaining about what they do show of him.

This, Fairy AND Victor are secondary mains. The show is ultimately about Pig and his journey to transform himself. You can argue about screentime all you want, but Fairy is the third most important person in the narrative.

That said, a lot of the problems really stems that YOI is a 2-cour anime that got squished into a 1-cour one. There are so many things that could have been explored but they simply don't have the time. Pig and Victor's relationship is the most important in the story and so critical for their character development so it has to be given the highest priority. It worked very well until Episode 12 when the inevitable pacing crash and sequel bait had to happen.

Well my point is that he was clearly a secondary MC just like Victor just a shafted one and my only issue is his lack of screentime as he had a discourse/bond on a level with the other mains that no one else had and it doesn't feel out of place to feature him with them despite the lack of screentime. It felt like there was stuff in his story that should have been explored more but as we know was cut for time. He still had a solid story/development that was given much more focus than any side character.
