What's his endgame?
This anime is going to end in a horrible cliffhanger I swear, just end the war already.
>tfw you get cucked by God so hard you forget to call your family
Is Youjo Senki slowly turning people into fascists?
He was feeling guilty for jerking of to the slav moomin. Though, I can't blame him, she gave blue balls by punching him and awakening his inner masochist.
These little moments are too few and far, they are what makes me care if they die and we don't get enough.
The non battle parts are usually just boring politics with underbudget animation.
But these scenes are awesome.
>OUR FATHERLAND, RULER OF THE WORLD
>REPEAT: OUR FATHERLAND, RULER OF THE WORLD
Serebryakov's personality confuses me.
I thought she was supposed to be a legit character that would have to deal with complex emotional issues as she came to terms with Tanya being a psycho, basically her straight-man foil.
Turns out she's just retard comic relief.
How fucking big does japan think U-boats were?
I don't get these comments about historical accuracy.
This is a fantasy world that doesn't exist, which is loosely based off real life. Why do people give a shit if it's accurate to real life? It's not fucking meant to be.
Half the comments on CR are about WW2 tanks and how the show is omg so innacurate, when it's a fucking fantasy magic show about a 30 year old guy getting reincarnated as a loli girl by god.
She has a kind of PTSD. She just stopped caring about what happens during operations due to Tanya always pulling though.
You can probably call it a case of mild schizophrenia. There is Vika during off hours where she is a cute and carefree girl that doesn't seem to care about anything and there is also Lieutenant Serebryakov during actual deployment who can shank a man with a knife without even blinking.
What would be interesting to see is what happens with this divide if Tanya suffers actual wounds or even loses a fight. Or miscalculates horribly. It can lead to an epic breakdown.
We're almost there.
>Chinese distribution service guy made a mistake and wrote 26 instead of 12
>Everyone loses their shit and announces the anime is a 2 cour
You all best ready to be disapointed
>Since, Blu-ray listings only go through episode #12, speculation is that if the series does run the unconfirmed 26 episodes, it would be a split between non-consecutive seasons.
I wonder if it's really PTSD or if she really adapted to the patriotism that everyone shows around her. Visha obviously looks up a lot to Tanya and probably wants to be more like her. Visha's perception of Tanya only highlights the positives that she wants to see. Which is why after the rebellion fight she still was able to talk calmly to Grantz about Tanya caring for those under her command despite the killing of civilians.
Tanya a cute.
Well we'll see the truth only if Tanya gets a good ass whooping. If she adapted she' won't have a breakdown. If it's PTSD and she just tries to ride on confidence in her commander there will be a lot of epic moments.
Why are chinks so stupid? They ruined the entire season
I could ignore the bad designs and animation when the idea of battle salaryloli was new, but now i'm getting too sick of it.
The ending hammers it in everytime, with it's cheap slideshow composed of a better art style.
Anon, they fly using literal magic and they have vehicles which use magic as fuel. The weapons they use also use magic.
Last time I checked, we don't use magic weaponry and vehicles in real life.
You forget that technolegy doesnt imitate magic but works with the natural born user and helps utilizing it.
Considering that magical airships woulndt be possible without strapping several mages on a frame and hope they will lift it. So you can just use easier ways then that which doesnt rely on a very limited source.
Pzkw3 had poor field maintenance capabilities.
Also even Poles, despite being underfunded and short on time had weaponry that could fuck up Pz3's in any urban combat
yeah, but german tonks were built for blits, and gl blitzing without superior logistic
Tanya gave them the wrong weapons then. The Panzer IIIs shown are 37mm Panzer IIIs, which were intended for AT purposes. If they wanted a proper anti-infantry gun they should be using the 75mm howitzer.
oh lord, why i wrote that urban..
too tired to live....
I meant that Poles had antitank rifles that shat on anything Germans could field.
But those were so super sekrit they forgot to train enough people to use them...
New manga chapter on batoto.
Today is a good day!
You didn't need particularly good antitank guns to take on early Panzer IIIs or IVs because the Germans figured that 37mm guns and 30mm armor would be enough, but that's not to say that the Panzer III was bad because of that; though it didn't have the same potential as the IV, a 1943 Panzer III was much better armed and armored than its 1939 equivalent.
Yes, but they didn't have to go full retard and then some.
You can't name 3 examples from this season. A recap episode is made because they fucked the schedule. They're barely managing to finish the episodes.
Are you saying you don't like QUALITY? Animating is an extremely mind numbing and repetitive task, it doesn't surprise me that they took shortcuts especially with so little time and money put behind it.
>Empire be like winning
>Top brass want to sign peace, can't win in the long term now that the britbogns and russkies are in
>Politicians don't listen to the military, want to keep winning for the best posible terms
Why are the fucking britbongs sending in big boss.
Can't they have their damn island and let other people build proper reichs in the continent?
So like, how does this source material go on past this?
Is this whole badass super tactics shit anime only?
Because like, I don't see how the war could go on in the novels or w/e this is based on if it isn't anime only.
Why does Visha even exist? It seemed at first she would serve as a female foil to Tanya, but she does JACK SHIT.
Is she just a pair of tits for the audience to look it? because that's all she's been this entire season.
I like how she was terrified by war during the first few episodes only to be turned into dangerous killing machine that can sleep peacefully few hours before very hard mission.
As Weiss said, she became a veteran just by being near Tanya. Tanya's scarier than bullets. She's crazy enough to start a vendetta with a god just to tilt her fedora one more time before death, who knows what she would do to her for not doing her job.
Tanya was the first officer she has been assigned to after getting of training.
She survived the hell on earth called Rhinefront...complete trenchwarfare crawling through blood, mud, and hiding between corpses. While bombarded by artillery.
She got literally thrown into the worst possible situation and survived...the only thing that remains to scare her is literally Tanyas wrath. Nothing else, she would follow tanya to the depths of hell. Under her innocent smile is a tough veteran soldier that doesnt even care about stealthkilling an enemy soldier, killing of civillians labeld as the enemy of the empire ect.
If you think about it..she has probably become the most scary person beside tanya herself in the battalion...
>tfw you are one step away from escaping the living hell
That's semantics and you know it. It's really irrelevant whether it's a god or not, there was no profit in a combative argument with a being who stopped time to communicate with you before death.
Are these some special mage sleeping quarters where you're meant to float down from the bed using magic? And theres huge amount of wasted space.
Why is this room so stupidly designed?
Will the misunderstandings ever end?
Will Tanya ever have a conversation where both parties actually understand each other?
She's pure evil.
how do you make batato send you an email when a new one comes out? I set mine to follow and to notify me , but I have yet to see a notification.
Do i realy have to set up a rss feed?
Lol, nope. I just manually check the site from time to time, in hopes of reading a new chapter of whatever manga I'm subscribed to.
They think that since Tanya can go around attacking the enemy capitals and HQs as she pleases, they can keep the train rolling.
They get fooled into thinking that the Army's elites are really super good and every battlefield will be like Dacia, while in all reality it's just one wing that's really overachieving and everyone else is fucking incompetent.
They'll never let Tanya just retire to backlines to train more recruits, hell, they'll never even let her take her wing back so she can finish their fucking training just because Rerugen is a cunt and because the top brass think she's happier in the battlefield.
Tanya realizes that her superiors are just mooching off her achievements and decides that she needs to stop carrying this joint in order to advance in her career, so she plans to have a situation happen where they'll have to make do without her long enough that people start to ask "Why the fuck did you suddenly start to suck so hard."
Her hopes were that without her around, they'd realize the need for more elites, so that they'd put her in the backlines to train more wings.
This of course doesn't happen because they are shit and the empire keeps trying to substitute Tanya with other elites, which keep getting shredded since they're used to sending her into suicide missions and when all the highly trained units are dead, the empire crumbles into fucking dust after one failed mission after another and the top brass just calls everyone incompetent because that one kid could pull off those missions off, so why couldn't they.
You know it's gonna happen.
I'm pretty meh about religion but if some entity showed up, froze time at the moment of my death, started speaking through the bodies of others, and then reincarnated me into the body of a little girl in a parallel universe, I'm going to have to bite the bullet on that.
It may not be a "god" but if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it might just be Tany- a duck.
No, it's what I estimate is gonna happen without actually reading it.
I fully expect the top brass to start developing the same sort of faults as shitty unreasonable bosses in modern era do and start to fail because of it.
There is no God, few "magic" tricks won't make it "God".
In other words, Empire will fall because of office politics and incompetence.
It's the age old issue where when you've got a master welder in the house who is also a competent manager, when an opening for a manager career path appears, they'll hire someone from outside of the company because they don't want to look for another welder.
This pisses off the master welder who starts looking for management jobs outside of the company and when he lands a job, the branche where he previously was employed in goes to shit because their work quality drops sharply without him around anymore and since they didn't hire him to train the newbies, they don't have anyone to replace him with.
>Still waiting on NovelUpdates to accept the Youjo Senki (WN) submission.
Found another listing site but it seems barely used, but if anyones wanting to look forward to WN translations hosting link is provided here:
I think it's really a pretty telling issue of modern day's fear for your job that nobody will train their successors anymore out of fear that they'll get kicked out of the company because they've made themselves unnecessary, since you've got the younger guy with all your skills, but a much lesser salary because he's worked there less.
It's a really sad thing when companies do that, because ultimately companies who manage to create that sort of trust between employees and the organization where both parties work for the betterment of the other without trying to screw the other one over for personal gain, you'll create a partnership that is ultimately more efficient than your cutthroat office politics.
Hold on to your Fedora there buddy, a "magic" trick is pulling a rabbit out of a hat, or making your hot assistant levitate 3 feet in the air, like the other annon said freezing fucking time and reincarnation are not magic tricks, those are feats that only beings with God-like powers can accomplish, and while there is no definitive proof that Existence X is God the contrary can also be said, it definitely stupid to antagonize a Being with God-Like powers just because you do not believe its claims that he is God, he may not be God but he sure as hell can push your shit in like one so you better show some more respect.
Love between comrades is a puriest one
>Being X tells her that she will have to suffer
>Tanya starts liking her job
>Starts thinking she will always win
>Despite having knowledge that Germany lost both world wars in our world.
>Doesn't tell the top Brass. Psssst, try to get us out of this war, ilke now, please.
GOOD LUCK LITTLE DUCK
I think given the relative power of the Empire vs the world I think losing is inevitable but with all the strategic victories they might get reasonable peace treaty terms and avoid WWII as we know it.
They were struggling against a single country, not to mention how much the politicians were bitching.
When this shit turns into a world war with a bunch of countries after the Empire and its allies's asses, they will burn out in no time.
What is this expression trying to convey?
Pretty nice to see that they referenced this gigantic trench explosion event.
If Tanya got the comfy easy life she wants then how would she spend her free time?
She should be more paranoid than Stalin DESU.
Here she knows a supernatural being- maybe God.. is trying to punish her with any means.
Especially after a massive victory. That's when you should be most paranoid if you know you're in the nip version of a Greek myth.
Sampling cuisine in restaurants and pubs while doing some easy HR work to earn her upkeep.
Too bad she never managed to get a decent profession for real during War College studies so the only trade she really knows is training soldiers and waging war.
It's more broad about the Empire as a whole. Throwing Anson here actually makes more sense, because it makes it involve Tanya which is more impactful for an anime finale. They are probably going to put some of the casualties they were supposed to have died last episode here, but in the end everyone who should be dead will probably be dead, and it will be able to continue back on the LN path.
That's one reason why I'm watching this anime and reading the manga and the current translation of the WN. I like the historical references. Going to start reading the translated LN.
This actually sounds interesting and it makes me wonder how this would develop if it ever happens.
Scenes like this would be extremely girly
>probably the most decorated war hero
>having to do shit
Dictating is really where Tanya is good at. Human resources and all that jazz.
Assuming the Empire won the war (or not) she could have pulled a Mussolini.
>Reports suggested that the sound was heard in London and Dublin
>the shock wave was mistaken for an earthquake
>Some eyewitnesses described the scene as "pillars of fire", although many also conceded that the scene was indescribable
Yeah. The guy translated the prologue already. I think the link was posted in this thread.
Or maybe a government desk job. Like the equivalent of secretary of defense.
