Except that's not true. What is canon and non-canon is on the author's discretion, it's not "this book is canon so anything the anime does extra is non-canon". There is no set rule on what is canon, the author decides what is canon. How do you know Kishimoto is not okay with these? Did you talk to him? Kishi clearly has a close relationship with anime staff, that's how The Last exist and is entirely canon despite not being in a book.

And yes there are obvious filler that are not canon like all the times the anime staff makes a pre-timeskip episode during the war arc but when they're just straight up adapting something and expanding on it, that's murky water. It's by Takehiko Inoue, who also makes Vagabond and REAL. Kishimoto has his own strengths, but he has nothing on Inoue, whether it comes to characters, story or art. Once you do read it, compare the final match to the final battle in Naruto and you'll see exactly the level of difference between the two works.

There's no need to use popularity for anything. Slam Dunk is the better crafted work. It's more concise and its characters have a stronger, more realistic subtlety to them. Eyeshield is a great work, but it has weaknesses in certain arcs, and to a lesser degree in the emotional depth of its characters.

I do not believe you have a legitimate argument for why you would consider Slam Dunk shit. It sets to high a bar in all aspects. If it was shit, then according to you there would only exist a small handful of manga that could actually be considered good.

474 is when everything starts to get tied up and the final boss gets sealed, 475 is when Sasuke declares his intent to kill the 5 kage, 476 is the start of the actual fight. 474 has a nice moment between Naruto and his dad but 476 is what's really worth watching.
