It was a pretty good reveal scene, esepecially as a cliffhanger.Really liked how they played the intro at the end of the episode.

but didnt they explain in the show why he was named fullmetal? when I heard it , it made complete sense. I wonder if it was jsut 2003 or both. might have to look at the wiki.

That is his nickname though.

Just 2003, newer skipped a bunch of stuff beside some character introductions.

In the newer version Bradley gives him the name after he becomes a state alchemist I think.

Bravo Toriyama

In the 2003 version, I think Mustang of Bradley gave him the nickname since apparently all state alchemists have a nickname based on an aspect about them.
>Such wasted potential... I might as well drink Bleach while I'm at it.
Absolute mastermind.

These are correct, but it's more of a title. Bradley calls him Fullmetal when he becomes an state alchemist. All alchemist have a title based on their specialization (like Mustang or Tucker) or looks (Armstrong and Elric).
>In the end, she truly was a Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni.
Come on now.
