I dont. I think Kaworu is a shit character that only appeals to otaku.

He's supposed to be shoujo Prince-kun but instead people find him weird and creepy. He fails at basic social interaction and Shinji was probably the only friend he had. In every incarnation he's treated him as a traitor/spy, or someone who is an anomaly and has to dissappear from the world. I feel very empathetic towards him.
