Remember before we got shown how they boasted about themselfs just for being able to make it in the first floor and about how they are the chosen party to end the dungeon.
Hell the guy even says dungeons aren't needed, but the flashbacks to Marcille's past showed us that there is actually a reason why mages cultivate dungeons.
They also never question the real circumstances of their deaths.
They are also so inexperienced that they do not know about the bugs.
The entire group is totaly unlikeable and Kabaru is more something of an experienced murderer or manslaughterer instead of a seasoned adventurer.
If his group had met with the dark elf, shit would have gone down hill beyond the point of no return.

I can't wait to see what happens to them. I really want them to go through some suffering to juxtapose their adventure with Laius's. Like they make some horrible decisions that get party members irreversibly killed and at the end Kabaru is just screaming at Laius's party and they don't even know who he is.
