You know, if I had my choice I wouldn't have gone with this ending. In fact, I'd have just gone with the obvious "Daikichi ends up with Kouki's mom" route and all. That being said, I don't completely hate the ending. Fuck at least it's memorable. Plus I don't think we're supposed to nessicarily agree with the decision Rin and Daikichi make in the end, but I do think we at least understand where they're coming from. Reminds me of Aishteru Baby or whatever it was called, that manga had a "better" ending than Usagi Drop but it was such a dull finish to the story I likely less overall
