Is Kanbaru a real good person compared to Hanekawa's fake?
The series always compares both Kanbaru and Hanekawa in positive lights and when you take their actions and personalities into account even Hanekawa and Araragi both believe Kanbaru genuinely believes and follows the good things she says.

In that case I would posit that Hanekawa is actually there to distract people from what actually makes a good person due to her overbearing presence and forced helpfulness-disguising-selfishness.

I find Kanbaru to be almost as much of a fake as Hanekawa is. Kanbaru acts so sexually aggressive toward Araragi, and yet she's supposedly more interested in Crab than him. It seems like either she's faking that sexual aggression in order to get him to slip up and thus break up him and crab, or she was faking her attraction to crab (which may have been a long run kind of play, since they were rivals. Kanbaru gets it across to crab that she likes her, crab feels awkward and self conscious as a hetero girl being chased by a gay/bi one and that throws her off her athletic game).

Kanbaru is obviously a very good person, even if she can't compete with someone with oddity level abilities and personality.

Though given Kanbaru and Araragi talk about in Nadeko Snake about how they would date each-other. How much of their sexual tension is unintentional is up for debate.
