Precure Thread Hetfags on suicide watch.
I K E M E N
reminder that Ichika is the best and cutest
>Ichika's literally in heat
How did Toei get away with this?
Anyone else feel like Chocolate's transformation is too busy with the camera and Chocolate's nonstop movement? Also, this part was especially shoddy.
>she started to awaken to something
Let it flow through you, little girl.
i am sexually attracted to cat
Thanks for anon in the other thread for making me aware somebody actually made Yes5 rips.
Now, Hearcatch where?!
Wait. They're real?
She goes deeper for Akira.
In this case, she either was told to not go that deep or lacks the ability to sing with a deeper voice, either way I think it would have fitted the song more if she went deeper.
Can we all agree that the Digimon are cuter than the 'good' fairies?
This girl is pretty good, I wonder what will become of her by the time she's grown up.
I'm glad my random drunk thought to google "yes precure bd" helped somebody else.
BD Yes5 sure looks pretty, weird feeling when watching it after fresh. Too bad there's no torrent only DDL hell.
You need to fap more to increase your arm strength.
Whose got pits?! WE DO! Whose got a creepy fetish?! YOU DO! Goooooo underarms!
Quality, the fuck else
Before that it was either awfully downscaled DVDs or overcompressed MPEG2 broadcasting.
Ah I do envy people who can get by with terrible video quality.
Nozomi too bold
High def was a mistake.
Perhaps it was a kind of wedding ring.
I like how they always color code best girls.
Fuck, Ako is cute.
Also, is Muse the least shilled Cure who joined late?
>Milky Rose was usually fighting generals
>Moonlight had few episodes where she soloed generals and motws, while everyone was going about how sugoi she was
>Ace was pure bullshit
>Muse jobbed in the first fight as a team
Honest thoughts on this short?
Only one I've watched all the way through and loved the shit out of it.
Tried an episode of the next one and couldn't be bothered to continue.
>look-up composer for Suite
>mfw it's Yasuharu Takanashi
>he actually made OSTs for precure from Fresh until the end of Smile
As you should, it's a good season. But learning to let go enough to watch a different seaon is all part of the game.
Good luck. Don't be afraid to try different seasons, you can always come back.
>gopricks' tastes are so bad that they can't even finish an episode of greatness without dropping it
Check out the movie. It's not one of the best, but the three shorter ones are cute and the pumpkin/doll ones were pretty good. The All Stars for Go Princess was actually kind of nice as well, at least being a bit different from most of the rest.
I'd recommend Heartcatch if you are looking for another Precure season and enjoyed Go Princess.
I'll admit that the show as a whole wasn't perfect but the first twelve episodes or so basically were perfect.
>[anon] KiraKira Precure À La Mode - 06 [1280x720].mkv
Generally? Heartcatch. But everyone has their favorite, and being the mainstream leader means it draws a lot of fire.
I personally think GoPri is a much better example of what Precure is about, though. And there are seasons that are more that, and others that do something quite different, for better or for worse.
>What is generally considered to be the best one?
The best season?
That's open to a whole lot of debate, even if you ignore the frequent shitposting. I'd say Heartcatch because I'm all about those character development arcs, and while Go Princess was more consistent with showing development for everyone, I still have to say that I like Tsubomi's story even despite the problems that series did have. Heartcatch giving the background characters some personality also made the whole think more likeable. (Go Princess did this to an extent as well.)
Other people have recommended Smile, mainly due to the wacky silliness of the series that doesn't even try to excuse it. I've seen people recommending DokiDoki, and I'd guess that they enjoyed the Mana/Regina relationship drama for that one. Fresh never left a good impression with me, but someone people seem to champion that one as well. I'll let them give a reason for that, though.
I can say that Futari Wa Pretty Cure, and Splash Star, at least stand out as their own thing (most later series have a distinct Sailor Moon and generic magical girl themes) and so they're worth at least watching for that.
>What is generally considered to be the best one?
You don't ask this question here unless you want to start a shitstorm.
But few years ago, Heartcatch was considered the best one, but mostly because it was the first one for many. I recently watched it and I wouldn't call it the best, but it is the one of the most solid seasons alongside GoPri and Smile.
Personally, I like Fresh the most, but it has a lot of QUALITY.
Super cute though.
Apparently one of the themes of Suite is shitty disguises.
>watching Suite movie
This is going to be good.
That opening was so amazing.
Thoughts on this year's henshins? Keep in mind we've still yet to see the group one.
>tfw choco fairy thief's name is /b/-tard
>it's rival is alpha dog
absolutely! what the hell are they making her do in 18:56 - 19:00? Not to mention that there are so many parts in her henshin that you have to watch frame by frame to understand what's going on.
Gelato is best one by far, one of the best ones we have seen on the whole franchise.
Custard is high tier, very good animation and creativity.
Chocolate is a mixed bag. The concept is great and it should look amazing, but it ends up looking unsettling because of the animation. It still is high tier and looks great though, just unpolished. Also, those moves at the end are fantastic.
Not much to say about Whip and Macaron, both have decent animation but they are too static all around. There is not much movement around.
Anon, I don't know if you're still around (or if this is even you) but I was tooling around in Aegisub and came up with a style for the OP/ED cards if you wanted it. (I can also still tweak it a bit, the outline was the part that held it up for looking exact) If it'd be of interest to you, feel free to let me know and I'll find a way to get it (and the font) to you.
>straightforward, cute and solid, shifts rapidly from slow to fast and back with debatable results
>uncomplicated, slow, almost plodding at times
>dynamic, detailed and smooth in its motion, just fucking insane. far and away the best of the bunch.
>graceful and flirty, and what little movements there are are smooth
>massive amounts of detailed arm and head movement but the result is clunky and sometimes jarring particularly with all the back-and-forth panning, chocolate wall/wave transitions are a nice thought but chug annoyingly between frames, giant choco stage is neat but way more involved than anyone else's henshin setting
Dialogue in kids show is simple, and the Japanese subs are usually available just after the episode airs (so one can use them as basis for timing).
The only thing you need is dedication.
Aw, that's nice. It's true, I don't use pretty fonts for the titles, I've personally never liked the way it clutters the title card backgrounds, so I think of it as subtitling the reading rather than translating the title like a sign.
That's a good match for the font, though. I think you could argue for putting in a shadow so that it matches even closer. I think you'd need to double up to get the thin shadow on the lettering as well as the fat, larger shadow though. There's also a weird white shine on the pink. Is there a way to do that in Aegisub?
What do [shortcake] do with the titles?
Thanks for the kind words but I should be giving them back to you for subbing Precure! I hope it's been a fun experience for you so far.
Sure, let me take a look at playing with the style a bit and see if I can get a good match for you for the shadow. The pink's just a shade I plucked from the title itself but there is a way to do something like that with the Style Manager too. Let me look this over and see what I can come up with for you.
Hello. Yes, this is dog.
You can, though full disclosure, it's unlikely I'll use them since I'm perfectly happy with the way the titles are handled now. But I certainly won't try to stop you. Maybe I'll be so wow'ed with how great it looks that I'll change my mind.
But I'd be surprised if I did.
>tfw Ichika is the first trapfag rabbit-kin shoujo protag
Damn, Toei's sure feeling progressive this year.
Whip's is cute, even if the storyboard is a little weird at times. It's
vanilla, but gets the job done like most Pink's transformations. I like when she lands on the cake.
I like Custard's a lot. It's fluid and formulaic,
almost as if she's following instructions from a manualand does the best job of "making" her outfit from the sweet thingie inside of the pact. It's probably why it feels so formulaic.
Gelato's is objectively the best animated and flashy but it does the worst job of incorporating the sweets pact so I honestly don't like it that much because of that. Hers is basically the opposite of Custard's.
Macaron's is okay, I don't dislike it, it just feels like there wasn't much going on and never really peaks.
Chocolat's has a lot of ambition and concept-wise it's my favorite but the animation is awkward sometimes. My favorite until Parfait inevitably shows up everyone's transformation.
>There was never a red Smile
There's an orange light too, she can't be both.
She's a cutie all right.
What? Is my Japanese just bad enough that there is some political message I didn't notice? What would her daughter be awakening to?
DELET= THIS FUCKING BULLSHIT RIGHT NOW THAT STUPID FUCKUING GARBAGE EPISODE WASNT EVEN CANNON FUCK
One rogue writer forcing het that's forgotten about in the next episode and never mentioned again is nothing compared to her being jealous of everyone close to Mana throughout the whole season.
I'd say Kanade is another up and coming.
But the best episode of Doki was
its final one
blah blah blah I'll shit fury over you blah blah you're fucking dead kiddo
That just doesn't strike me as something a Japanese person would say though. I thought there were no liberals in Japan.
Whatever turns you on.
Kanade was thirsty for Ouji's dick.
It was pretty good, until Ace ruined it.
Just out of curiosity, is there anyone who actually liked Aguri as a character? And I don't mean aesthetically, obviously a little buttslut like her with Iori's voice is cute design-wise. Did anyone actually like her personality though?
>comes out of nowhere
>acts like a cunt
>shits on based mana
>imparts her juvenile philosophy on everyone
>makes japanese girls cry
Where are the redeeming qualities in her besides her cunny and her voice?
Some anon here told me so a couple days ago, so it must be true.
Why don't you go back to /u/?
yeah, I thought she was a great character, just not introduced very well - she really grew on me.
I'd have to go rewatrch doki to give you more details tho
It's true. There was even a youtube video of it. Good luck finding that though.
This might be true, I kinda hated Makopi at first but I mysteriously began liking her a lot once Aguri was introduced.
Please link it, anon. Please.
Kirara. And Nozomi because she has a lover.
Why, anon? You just have so much to live for.
>getting a hug from a cure while she is in costume
>all that fluffy hair
It's been three and a half years anon.
Did you fell asleep with Mana and Regina and slept until now?
>"r-regina didn't transform..."
This girl is literally me, thanks for sharing anon.
>Souta gets to tap Ako and be on good terms with her father
There was enough CocoNozo. Especially counting GoGo movie.
But there was barely any NutsKoma.
Honestly, GoGo downplayed all Yes5 interactions.
Honestly that was pretty disappointing that there was no more. Het romance mostly pisses me off but there was something nice about romance between a bishounen teacher and his little girl student, but the bishounen is actually a huge bitchboy and the little girl is actually quite domineering. It was honestly pretty interesting for an anime romance and it just ended. Sad!
Being this cute should be outlawed.
Crepe existed, which was an entirely new dimension to the Nozomi and Coco romance plot. But by that point they were pretty much already an item.
I've looped Chocolat's transformation more than Gelato's so I guess that potentially diagnoses me for shit taste. Yeah there's a few shoddy spots, but the character acting is pretty s+ and apparently it was influenced by a Japanese Broadway performance.
Macaron and Custard are just kinda there but are pretty up there if we're comparing them to the whole franchise's henshins.
She turned out to be a pretty alright character, but just like everything in Doki Doki, her introduction and true background were phazed out in favor of everybody's in-story waifu.
Mephisto is cool as fuck.
Toei confirmed for bros.
It's still there, but pretty less present compared to S1.
Still, yup, the dynamic is pretty interesting considering Nozomi isn't a huge bitch while Coco is
I like how these aren't necessarily sweets that they really like, but rather sweets that also have some sort of special meaning to them.
Except for Custard. That's why she's the most bland.
What does it say that I completely forgot that Akane had a brother?
Looks like only the one, actually. And since they skipped it in Glitter Force, maybe it's just been too long and it slipped my mind.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one, anyhow.
I really love reformed dark reflection characters.
If only they didn't die at the end of episode/movie.
>Akane-san there's evil in the fridge again
Join the club.
>Your boyfriend will never hime carry you
Suite movie is pretty good.
It fits very well with the rest of the series and is full of good
I really like the idea of Ako's mom being corrupted right after her dad was purified.
Overall, it was second best expirience I had with /pc/ movie, but I guess watching it right after "Muse joins the team" episode really helped.
>morale of the story was "misunderstandings happen, but girls can't love girls"
>So... is precure oficially yuri now
I posted this before finishing the episode
Ichika wants a partner who can produce a lot of the cream for her cakes and pies.
And Setsuna and Aguri. But two of those three have no little kid/baby pictures anywhere.
And Aguri as a baby barely looks like her.
Well Haa is the most powerful, but I mean comparing her to other cures is kind of unfair considering she's like a god or something.
I'd say the most powerful human cure is Megumi.
There is this one girl who is canonically as strong as the big bang.
>Taking Joe "puppet president of the yotsubas "my waifu is dead and I only have a baby as replacement" "the other two halves of my waifu are in love with a 14 years old mary sue" Okada seriously
Everyone in Maho survived their planets getting smacked around like a game of galaxy ping pong. A random mook from the Mahoverse could soloany other team. Even Mana would beg for mercy.
Doubting Aida "da bes" Mana.
I'll be posting rare Ichikas from ep 6 as I watch it
Bonus from the preview and I'm done
Oh really? Which one? I'm guessing it's that part at the end with the stairs. And I'm pretty sure Custard's could've been better. In another thread someone noticed a different camera angle for one of the sections so it seems like they redid quite a bit (which explains why it seems so slow comparatively). But yeah I liked Choc's henshin too, though I guess it would be beneficial for it to slow down a bit. I barely noticed the part where she summoned the chocolate transformation piece. Besides that and the awkward hand dance on the stairs I really like it. That random piece of music in the middle is what I expected to happen way back when we noticed the different music at the beginning of Himari's henshin. Don't know why Choc's the only one with special treatment but I like it.
Are kids still watching precure? I mean besides the 5 years old girl from >>154483875 I remember that Happiness's biggest viewership were actually adult women and ratings haven't improved since then
>Happiness's biggest viewership were actually adult women
W-what? That can't be true. I didn't sign up for this shit I want to be a little girl, not an old hag. Fuck, I guess it's too late now. Ara ara.
Smile had a female otaku fanbase because the furry villain and they found the cures very cute (K-on has a female normalfag following so the sol format wasn't a problem) while Doki Doki got so big among women that the cures actually defeated pretty boys on polls from fujo aimed magazines. I bet those fujos were bullied on high school and they wanted a cuntbuddy like Rikka
It had a complicated love story.
Not even shitting here, I think Happiness charge has one of the most engaging love stories ever written. I'm mean it's fucking terribly written, but it's terribly written in such a way that it's unbelievably entertaining. Nip women have good taste.
Most yuri titles are written by women and those women often write yaoi too. Women likes faggotry in general. Forbidden love, female sexuality is complicated, etc. In fact I think the biggest mistake the industry made related to yuri was trying to make it appealing to male otakus because the only way to achieve it is to downplay the yuri or trivialize it. The damage is already done though.
Anyway, Doki Doki wasn't yuri. See >>154525943
Say something to her.
>it's not yuri if the two women who want to fuck each other don't want to get married after
>I don't see the Japs keeping pretty cure as a representative of Japan after this.
>fairies who once hid in a little girls shirt giving the illusion of having massive breasts then later pooping out gems is okay
>a girl getting princess carried by another girl crosses the line
