The only bad episodes were Koito episodes for the most part. Episode 2 and the one where she couldn't use her power just weren't good.
Every other epsiode was quite good though, I can't see how anyone can even state otherwise.

People just don't like it because it was episodic. /a/ hates that which is why you'll see people saying that only the last two were good

It was bland as shit but it wasn't bad.

I genuinely really enjoyed Phantom World. Seriously. It was very funny and comfortable and made me wish that I lived in their world.


Also the girls were great. Especially Mai.

Can't wait 'till the circlejerk wears out and people start posting "you guys told me this was trash but it's actually pretty good" threads like with every KyoAni anime since Tamako Market. I'm convinced anyone that calls it total shit is completely biased and blinded by shitposting. You can say it's not your thing but to claim it was bad would mean it failed at what it tried to do, which it didn't.

Like you said there's pretty much no Kyoani show since Tamako Market that isn't just shitposted against. Hell, since Nichijou actually. It's sad but you can still get good discussion on a show sometimes.
