Didn't this recently have a 15th anniversary?
Mango was top tier, yes. I loved it.
As for the animu, it ranged from okay to bad.
Axess episodes with no Cross Fusion involved > Season 1 > Axess episodes with Cross Fusion involved > Stream > Beast >>>>> Beast+
Anyways, Rockman.EXE is dead so no new games or media.
The manga was built with an overall story that seemed more convincing than the anime.
>Rockman.EXE is dead so no new games or media.
Actually there's still that extra manga chapter that's already dropped in nipland. It's combined with the re-printed volumes.
It's relatively new so I doubt it.
There are some random previews posted by fans floating around twitter, though.
Other than that nothing atm.
What did you guys think of BN's less succesful sequel series?
I think it was fun enough and ended with a great game.
I thought it was a shame they ended it when they finally nailed it and made it really good.
>mfw hearing this for the first time
I really loved it Geo's character development was stellar (no pun intended) and the noise system was great, the girls were also cute.
Omegaxis was a fun dude.
Alright, gonna drop what I've collected so far.
SF sucked. You were stuck on the back row, the graphics were grainy, and the entire FM thing was much less endearing than the Net Navi thing.
BN4 was bad but it wasn't THAT bad. If you take away the need to replay the game 3 times and the fact that the final boss is an ayy lmao that comes out of nowhere, it was a decent game.
It's better than BN1. 6>3>5>2>4>1
How could one OST be this damn sweet?
Seems like he's a lot less edgy in general compared to his Sasuke-tier edginess in the past, so that's probably why.
There's also the fact the BN4 had terrible balancing at some points.
>Here, destroy these 3 "Heal" Navis with 300 HP each using your starting folder. Have fun!
>It's a play that football minigame while you only have 200 HP episode
>You wanted to grab that Aqua Man/ Guts Man chip as soon as you finished the first tournament? Have fun getting buttfucked by their +1500 HP Omega versions almost every time you navigate the starting area until you beat the game two more times and get a decent folder.
I have to admit the game gets kind of fun once you reach the endgame and look for different ways to break the game. My favorite combo was Spreader* for Full Synchro + Sand Ring + Tornado + Double Point and/or Attack+30. Few bosses survive that (Bass, VideoMan, ShadeMan, MetalMan, WindMan and Roll because they have Float Shoes and can escape from the Sand Ring before you can blow them away, but you have AirHockey for those).
Star Force anime > .exe anime
You bring up good points but no form of Gutsman or Aquaman should ever be a challenge, no matter how much HP or attack damage they have. And I'm pretty sure BN4 follows the rule that the rest of the games do in that you have to stop on a specific panel and delete them in that fight before they become random encounters.
Anyway, the date scenario with Mayl saves the game from being worse than 1. 1 aged horrifically.
Tell that to the producers of that series.
I wish that guy obsessed with making drillhair doujins (Zenra Restaurant) did some with Misora.instead.
At least this version of Megaman ended up scoring. He gets married and has a son with Mayl in the last game.
>because OP is asking for Mayl pics
Fair, but Misora is still better
>mfw this played right before the final battle
Well, the extra chapter isn't canon.
Ryo Takamisaki, the .exe manga artist wanted to make it especially for the 15th anniversary, so I guess he let himself stray a bit from the canon characteristics.
Story being silly wasn't a problem because MM games don't have Shakespeare-Tier writing to begin with, but most of SF2 character were dull and forgettable except maybe Empty/Hollow and Black Phantom/Dark Phantom. It didn't expand the first game's space and constellation setting, which was a shame because it was an interesting concept in my opinion. Instead it had a bunch of random bosses with no constant motif. They wanted to make Bass 2.0, but Solo ended up being an unlikable 13-year-old-EDGY-tier dick.
But yeah, that random encounter rate is really irrititating. On the other hand, music was pretty good and hunting for SP bosses was fun. They did improve everything with SF3, but the damage was already done.
>has the rest of the series been subbed yet I haven't watched it in ages after Access?
I think so.
I'd check the archives for the last thread we discussed this in, but its glitched or some shit at the moment.
>why don't we have PETs in real life yet?
Because we'd get an AI going rougue like Bass in no time which would cause Trump to eventually nuke everything and everyone.
>Instead it had a bunch of random bosses with no constant motif.
That's bullshit though, there was a clear motive: Myths and legends. Just off the top of my head, there was a yeti, a loch ness monster, the final area was based on Lemuria/Mu, another one of the areas was based on the Nazca lines, etc.
I never understood why they couldn't just delete Bass if they wanted to? doesnt the fact that he's a program mean that his data is stored in a folder on some computer somewhere?
I liked Shademan. Say what you want about BN4, Shademan was like The Joker of the BN series. Every other bad guy wanted to take over X or Y for their kid or for revenge or something, Shademan just wanted to make you go against your own morals and use a Dark Chip.
Colonel.exe in BN 6 has gotta be my most favorite navi fight in the series.
I never understood why he went from a caring commander to a stone cold killer between 5 and 6. I get that he had some program in him to stop him from having emotions or something, but it should have been consistent and existed in 5 too.
>MMBN thread in /v/
>it's always great
>MMBN thread in /a/
>it's always great
on very rare occassions 4chan is fantastic
I like his edge, sue me.
When will we get Netnavi's or at the very least a cool portable Megaman BN game where you can netbattle others? Like a mobile game or something. Just anything.
Shade Man was among the luckier ones in terms of design. He was always one of my favorites. Shame such a classy design was wasted in two of the worst MMBN games.
Bass is actually edge done right.
>Talking to your Navi about possibly telling SciLab about Serenade
>Suddenly this kid rolls up to you on his wheelchair and forces the most mundane conversation on you
He's totally Serenade's operator isn't he. Little snot is already the UnderNet Admin, it only makes sense. He even has the same logo on his wheelchair. This kid played us the fool all game.
Are you kidding me, Bass is hype almost every instance you see him and is usually the best boss fight in the games.
Not my favorite but I like how they made him a literal nutjob
>We could've gotten badass turban Flame Man.
>Instead we got dumb horse thing.
>Burner Man was voiced by fucking Zamasu
I love Shinichiro Miki.
>6 is not the same guy
Yes it is, unless 5 was a clone the entire time (which is stupid and never even hinted at) then they are the same person. How do you think that BN6's Colonel was split from Iris years ago if he's only a few months old?
Reminder that every day reality becomes more like Battle Network.
>Smartphones are PETs
>Smart toasters and smart TVs
>A hotel in Austria was hacked, locking guests in and out of their rooms. The owners were forced to pay a ransom.
>CIA researched hacking into cars for unspecified purposes. Speculation that they used it to kill a journalist.
>Played BN 6 a few weeks ago due to boredom
>Completely finished the game and went back to the start menu
>mfw the opening theme starts playing again and knowing the series is over
I sure miss the games.
Mr. Match is the reason why I like the Gregor version of the last game since you get him as one of your partners. Despite him still looking evil as fuck, he's actually redeemed himself and become a total bro. Too bad Heatman looks pretty lackluster compared to Flameman though.
Technically, no. It would be the criminal parts of the deep web.
In spirit, yes.
>Infamous and demonized on the regular internet.
>Inhabitants look down upon anyone from the normal net and tell them to fuck off
>They also look down upon residents seriously trying to fuck with the world at large. /pol/ = WWW/Gospel.
>They also hate each other and tend to post anonymously
>Cults dedicated to cyber gods
>Underage fukboi administrator. The server is basically in his mom's basement.
>Secretly built/funded by officials
By the time it came out most people lost interest in the SF series due to how shit 2 was. It's a shame because 3 was a step in the right direction but unfortunately that was the end of the series.
I know that feel anon. The happy and satisfying ending with Lan and Mayl eventually getting married and having a son made it even better.
Bass fights were always so good. He was honestly one of the things I looked forward to the most in the games.
I'd love a mobile game to fight /a/nons over.
I liked Laserman's design, except his retarded looking feet. Serenade and Bass are also tied for 1st.
For some reason I prefer Dread Joker's design over Laserman's design even though they are very similar. Must be the glasses.
Not like his original wasn't already a battle happy asshole
I think his design ended up being passed because of that one contest one Mistman. exe or Fogman, don't really remember since I didn't have his version of the game
Still playing through both series
BN3 > BN2 > SF1 >>> SF2
For the ones I have a good impression of but haven't played included
BN3 > BN2 > BN6 > SF3 > SF1 > BN5 > BN1 >> BN4 > SF2
Both series were good. SF didn't deserve the early death it got thanks to 2. I unironically believe SF2 caused a chain reaction that killed every Megaman series.
SF2 certainly didn't help, but it wasn't the cause of death.
That came when the conman left and, rather than simply moving on, Capcom wanted to be spiteful and twirl mustaches. Or maybe the Yakuza fucks simply wanted to send a message to anyone else thinking of quitting. Who knows.
>A meteor is gonna crash on earth
>Wait a second this sounds familiar
>HOLY FUCKING SHIT DUO IS COMING BACK LIKE HE SAID HE WOULD FUCK YES I'M FUCKING DIAMONS
>Final boss ends up being just a lame dragon that's an amalgamation of Noise
I'll never not be mad
iirc the number trader had different codes and chips, you are able to switch between your team's navis mid combat by using the touch screen and said navis can even assist you in battle such as Protoman teleporting in and doing a widesword attack. Gyroman pulls in enemies, etc, there's Bass cross and Sol cross, there's also the new Bass XX fight and remastered music.
SF3 is easily one of the most if not the most polished of these games.
The Noise system is extremely rewarding, addicting and satisfying.
Also, best Starforce grill.
It's no secret that BN1 is the worst in the series, but that's because of it lacking a lot of QoL things from the rest of the games and the internet itself is a maze instead of a hub like the future games.
4 though, I honestly didn't like the tournament theme, shit was awful. I did like that you could actually fight generic/Heel Navis though instead of the shit the rest of the series does where they just summon viruses. Never liked that they got rid of the generic navi battles.
I've always wished the RPGs got a revival. I'm not sure which one I'd want revived more. I prefer SF's cast, but its ending solved most plot threads and a story about Patch for a BN7 sounds pretty fun.
Childhood is picking Luna or Misora
Adulthood is realizing Geo's mom makes more sense
>Not Solo Noise
Look at this normalfag with Brothers, do you have a girlfriend too?
Fighting the Normal Navis was a great part, I agree that there should have been more of that. I wish their fights had been a bit more challenging as well. I agree that the whole tournament thing was crummy. It felt like a bunch of jumping through hoops and I never understood how it constructed the brackets.
MM Battle Network 7 on the Switch on the 3DS?
The 3DS has
> AR for jacking in from the real world
> built in Camera and microphone options for interacting online
The Switch has
Quick chose your 6 favourite netnavis to make a team
That was some nice subtle foreshadowing of BN6.
>Baryl somehow knows how to contact and hire Shadowman and his operator
>The two haven't changed at all since BN2, openly admitting they're only there because they're getting paid
mmbn 5 could have been so good with some tweaking, I really loved the tactical aspect of the missions and the difficulty of the viruses was nice too. Too bad Capcom is fucking shit and not pushing a mobile game of MMBN, all they need to do is have cycles of certain chips to not saturate the meta.
It hasn't even started and I already hate it for how Link Summoning will be inevitably handled. Besides after how burned I was by Arc-V's quality drop I wouldn't trust it either way.
>Battle network thread
>nobody posted all the lewd mayl fan service scenes
archives are down so I can't post it
some starforce theme I've been using for my 3DS if any of you have also hacked yours
Same Arc-V was hugely disappointing but the chance that VRAINs could be as good as Battle Network makes me want to give it a chance
VRAINs can fuck off as far as I'm concerned just for what it did to the game. Link Summoning is some jew scheme to get nostalgiafags to like Synchro under another name and I refuse to eat it up until I'm proven otherwise. Also I will never not be mad at nostalgiafags for by proxy causing Arc-V's downward spiral with forcing the legacy character concept and sapping the budget for
among other things. Despite me hating the idea of disliking characters over fanbases/executive decisions all this retroactively soured Kaiba for me in particular.
I'm tied between Style and Noise. Starforces were overly simple, Tribe On could be broken as hell, Souls feel kind of corny, Cross is okay, like a less corny Soul. Style has the several different subtypes that add a new element while Noise is basically like a nice merge between Style and Cross.
I agree with this anon.
Souls are incredibly useless because they falter when compared to Full Synchro. Only three or two are actually useful,
Search Soul for easy Program Advances and Gyro Soul for a discount 2x damage if you can't counterattack. Number Soul too if you would rather sacrifice Full Synchro for 10 Chips in the Custom Screen.
Besides the classic,
I would choose Hub Style. I grew up with the manga and anime more than the games, and just seeing this goofy heroic guy go to a no-nonsense killing machine was the best.
Noise Change probably is the best with Style Change slightly below it but I'm a bit biased towards Noise Change since the system has the pierce invisibility bonus which is just great. There's also the Finalized Noise forms which are so powerful that I really wished that bosses in end game had higher HP since a maxed out Meteor Server folder is busted and the enemy would've had low hp by the time you even reached it.
If Beast Out counts then I'd personally place it below Style Change since the lock-on feature is pretty great.
>There are people ITT who didn't even play the best game in the series because they don't know moonspeak
Aquaman.exe is moe but Meddy is better.
Is it bad that I prefer most of the Net Navi designs to their classic counterparts?
Team Colonel is the correct choice for 5.
I prefer star force overall. Everything about it appeals more to me, from character design, to the tweaked battle system [even if the 3d looked rough], to the story, to the characters themselves in personality/role.
SF was fucking baller.
The thing about the manga is that it stands on its own as a series, you dont need to have previous knowledge of the games to understand it because the story is fully explained from the beginning.
The only thing it doesnt address is
Megaman is Lan's actual brother, instead it just plays along as if everyone but Lan already knows it.
Nevertheless it's a good read, takes a more darker, more serious tone than the bubbly colorful anime, that's for sure.
Anime also decided to just fuck Bass up and butchered his entire character for some reason.
I'm also one of the few people on Earth that enjoyed Battle Chip Challenge
Zero > X > original > ZX
Dash > command mission > Star Force > Battle network
Rest assured anon, you're not alone.
>that zerofag who always start shit up on every comfy megaman thread on /v/, /toy/, and /a/
>zerofag who always start shit up on every comfy megaman thread
Probably just /v/ experience there, buddy.
>ZX that low
>Not realizing ZX and ZXA are the best megaman games
You fuckin' high, nigger?
SF3 was godly, I loved getting Noise Combos and Black Ace/ Red Joker look badass. The other games are mediocre at best and awful at worst in SF2's case.
What's your favorite manga moment?
For me it's definitely the cross fusion chapter between Megaman and Protoman.
Shit was hype.
Remember that time Zero was a fucking faggot?
>BN3 was awesome! I'm sure BN4 will be even more amazing!
>BN4 gets the best sales in the entire BN franchise
>It's the blunder of the century
Starforce ended well and in a satisfactory manner. It was brief but not everything has to go on forever.
Don't mind me, just being the best villain.
Magicman is still one of the best designs of them all.
>When you realized the "beak" is supposed to be a beard
Seriously, NetNavis have amazing designs.
It makes me sad we will never get an X series BN equivalent for Sigma and all other Mavericks and characters.
This is no net battle. This is, as it were, hell.
I hate everything they did with this character.
>UDON's English translation of Rockman.EXE Official Complete Works stated that a rule was made in which Navis could not have any cloth in their designs. Yuji Ishihara, the character designer for the Battle Network games, confessed to breaking this rule upon designing Bass, for he wanted to give him his trademark cape because of the Navi's tragic past.
He also broke it with ColdMan because he had a scarf.
>the Navi's tragic past.
Which was none-existent in the anime version anyway...
They are pretty much the same as Zero. The problem is that ZX doesn't have the same stage-design as the Zero games who were based more on GOTTA GO FAST than careful platforming.
Also, the fucking map on ZX was terrible. Thank god ZXA did away with it.
I don't mind him looking young since it does help solidify him as a dark counterpart to the likewise young MegaMan. But everything else about how the anime handled him was awful.
The games portray him as older looking, which IMO fits him better considering he was dicking around the UnderNet for 10 whole years prior to the game's events.
Wtf is this shit? Zero not like that! Delete!!!
>He was older in the manga too, wasn't he?
Seems that way especially from his attitude, yeah.
The only one I care about is Corruption because is an X game and I'm fucking sick of Classic games. Too bad it's been on development hell forever and chances it'll ever come out are super slim.
they were recently streaming a lot so at least thy aren't in "are they dead?" state, theres another X-based game but with Zero and I haven't seen much of it, and then there's the BN one, yeah it's going to end up as cringy fanfick but it looks solid gameplay-wise and online battles were confirmed so w/e
It's sad that the BN style didn't catch on. The battle system is nicely unique, and it's sad that nobody else is making any of them.
I've been thinking of trying to make one of my own as well, though no idea if that will ever get done.
>seeing Alpha for the first time
>seeing Wily just swallowed up by it
Man that was spooky when I was a kid.
And then there was Airman's operator getting killed off by a suitcase bomb in the game before.
SF1 was okay. It's playable but it was worse than most of BN. SF2 was bad and goes with BN1 and BN4 as the worst in the series. SF3, however, is incredible and goes with BN3 and 6 as the best.
Noise Change >= Style Change > Souls > Beast Out >= SF1 Servers > Tribes
I actually prefer SF1 servers to Beast Out normally, but the fact that it could also meld with souls and Beast Over made it a more interesting system overall.
>The moment when you get caught by it.
>Final boss is LITERALLY the internet itself
BN really should have ended with 3. It was the perfect climax to everything.
4 to 6 were a mistake. Specially when they changed devs.
>What did you guys think of BN's less succesful sequel series?
One of the best; it just came in at a bad time when no one could hear about it and other people had already left the franchise. Third game is up there with the best of MMBN.
Geo and Lan were a nice contrast of characters
One static and one dynamic. One of them basically never changed each game starting over, and one of them started out weak and literally carried over every change he had been through into each game and constantly developed.
>Tfw Starforce will never have as many lewds as Battle Network
Shuko was a cutie. Seeing her back again on 6 was a joy.
Aqua Soul was super duper good too. The Aquaman Chip as well. A folder was easy mode.
Ah man the BN series brings back memories, I remember on my 8th birthday my mom took me to the mall to buy some video games and Battle Network 5 Team Protoman caught my eye, brought it home and loved it. I always get depressed whenever I play Starforce 3 though, the ending was pretty nice but it feels like the series could have extended. I would really love it if we got a Double Beast or Starforce collection on the 3DS with all the Japanese exclusive or Nintendo event Battle Chips.
On another note though I have Double Team DS and I play it on my 3DS, is there any way for me to scan the game card or something so I can cheat it? I really wanted to grab Sol Cross and Bass Cross to fuck around with.
>She never appeared past the first game
My brother and his two friends got to start BN3 together. Each got a completely different style and it was awesome to watch.
Too bad when I got to play BN3 no one else was caring anymore and Beyblade became the fever. Luckily I got a nice beyblade
God she is cute in that pic. I need Shuko lewds now
There seems to be a site called Megaman Online that has what you need.It doesn't seem like most of the torrents are very well seeded at all so this is probably your best bet.
>that electric guitar
What is this feeling I'm feeling?
What do you mean it doesn't have subs.
So who was the strongest Navi? Bass was pretty badass but I always favored Serenade. Pretty pissed that she never appeared outside of BN3 and even in that damn game you had to work your ass off to get the Serenade chip, sucks for people who didn't get the White version although the Blue version had the Punk boss fight. I really wish they would make another game where you could run through the net with any Navi, each with their respective skills and so forth sort of like 4.5/5 but that's wishful thinking.
I loved Falzar version but Gregar felt more wild desu, I got that version explicitly for Erase cross though. I usually just play the japanese roms with all the extra things like the Django chips, Double Beast chip & the Gregar/Falzar chip.
Taking inspiration from digimon tamers paid off.
(d-reaper having taken over ARPAnet, while alpha was based on our internet)
>After defeat, Serenade reveals he fought against Bass in the past, winning after a battle that lasted days.
According to the wiki.
Fill your folder with chips of the same code. Soup letter folders are shit.
Don't let side-quests accumulate, it'll be super tedious to finish them afterwards.
That's about it.
>Tfw Starforce and Dash are getting figures
All I need is a Black Ace and Cybeast figure and I'll be complete
It takes awhile to get a folder full of good asterisk and single coded chips, literally post game when you get the right programs/styles to get chips but even then it takes time to farm. If you're shit at fighting bosses without taking damage or in a good period of time you'll never have the proper mega chips. You could always gameshark though, makes the game stupid easy but you'll have no grinding to worry about. Plus you can get into the secret areas without having to scavenge the net to fight ghost navis and grind chips, one of the worst parts about BN.
Bass had a figure made as well but it wasn't mass produced.
Megaman beats them all the time.
And tell me how many times Colonel and Protoman have saved the world, specially ProtoMan who despite training like an autistic faggot 24/7 with Chaud never gets anything done ever.
Hub Bat Megaman is probably stronger than complete Colonel but in general Protoman is dead last. His only real advantage is being quick as hell, even with all that training he isn't anything special.
The first game is a bit dated, if you can get through it then you are in for a treat when you play the 2nd game but no one will blame you if you feel like dropping the 1st game. Emulators should fix most of the problems with the first game though. The improvements from 1 to 2 was just that big of a differance that it makes it hard going back sometimes. No need to rush through these games either so try to go for the endgame content as in they have more story, challenges, chips, bosses, ect.
Battle Network 3 and onward started doing the pokemon thing in having 2 versions of the same game so the best choices for each one are
Blue version has a ridiculously strong combo using a version exclusive giga chip called FolderBack.
Red Sun, has better chips, souls, ect. Can't really remember what else but I just know Red Sun was the better version
The DS version is the superior version since its both games in one plus a shit ton of extras invovling the GBA slot on the DS if you had any of the previous BN and Boktai games in the GBA slot you would unlock a bunch of stuff otherwise, I can't really remember which had the better chips/soul crosses but Team Colonel is cannon to the story and BN 6 implies that you already know who Colonel is.
Sadly Falzar is the better version since it was the only one that has a patch that brings back all the Japanese bonus content that was removed(deleted maps, bosses, chips, story) from the western release. I hear someone was finally working on a Gregar patch but I don't know what happened to that.
Someone else can give you a list for the StarForce games. My last advice, if you ever get done with BN and SF, play the other versions you didn't get to play. You'll always find little differences like pic related between them which can still add a little fun.
dear GOD I hated Duel Masters right down to the core
>Blue version gets the most overpowered bullshit ever
>White version gets NaviRecycle, which does recycle the attack buffs you put on the last Navi Chip you used, but is not nearly as ridiculous
>White version also doesn't have the Punk fight
Capcom really wanted you to get the Blue version of the game.
I thought team Colonel souls and ally Navi's were objectively better? I played both of them but felt more comfortable with how Colonel's team operated. Am I wrong to assume this?
I read your post in the tourette guy's voice
What do I know about videogames if I rented it from blockbuster
I think its more of a personal preference, some people like Protoman or the souls in Team Protoman more than Colonel and vise versa. I don't think BN 5 was a bad about one version being superior to the other like 3 and 4 was.
FUCK YOU GIANT CHICKEN FAGS
This has been my ringtome for quite some time, it just makes my dick so hard.
>you will never feel the feels felt the first time you saw these ending credits
I'm not trying to get anyone's hopes up but I feel like we might at least get a new X game judging from X's dramatic inclusion in the new Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. They''ve been ignoring Megaman heavy for the last five or so years and now they're finally giving him the lead spot light next to Ryu. There has to be something cooking up in Capcom's kitchen.
Gregar is non-canon simply because Match is a teacher in it. The guy had no business coming back as an ally after BN3.
You might say that other villains came back, but they didn't have an arc about pretending to be reform only to fuck over Lan in the most personal ways imaginable.
Only thing I remember disliking in 5 was the stupid final boss, absolutely lackluster compared to the final comp music, Total War" that plays before hand and all the allies that "go down" in the attempt.
It just didn't pay off. I was so hyped at that last section with Colonel/Protoman and Frogman/Meddy(?) assaulting the very last section too.
Didn't expect the thread to still be up. I always thought BN was more of a niche thing. Glad to see I'm wrong.
Battle Network is more relevant than ever in today's society.
I sincerely hope anons use their experience playing this series to avoid falling for the shiny new "Internet of Things" meme. The toaster does not fucking need internet access.
For Star Force, I'd recommend
Magnetman having SuperArmor and being able to launch magnets made him better for me. Granted, Knightman having a passive defense ability was pretty great.
And Searchman was easier for me to use in battle when I played, though NumberSoul does have a much better effect than SearchSoul.
It's shit. It starts out decent, but then the FM Aliens are reduced to gag villains.
Then Geo gets the Star Force and every episode becomes
>Geo confronts the villains.
>Villains fight him evenly for a bit.
>"Oh yeah, I have Star Force."
>instantly defeats the villains
Rinse repeat until the last episode, which has a random mood shift out of nowhere in which Gemini and Pat go full edge for no reason.
Don't even get me started on Tribe.
Falzar is objectively the better version because of Aquaman and Tomahawkman. As for Starforce I went Pegasus, Zerker/Ninja, Black Ace. Of course you can use command codes in SF2 which really broke the game if you knew how to find the blank cards, then again all you have to do is check everything.
Yugioh battle network is coming, which is why I'm gonna replay the BN games
That aside, a new themed park of Battle Network will open in japan somewhere, so it lives
>/pol/ = WWW/Gospel.
Bullshit. WWW wanted to destroy "net society". Gospel had legit terrorist attempts like the bomps to destroy the dam or the plane hijack.
>In spirit, yes.
Maybe old 4chan, but not anymore.
I was gonna play it but then I found out the whole translation mess and lost all my desire to because there's no way I was gonna play a butchered game.
I have both of the 3DS games. Didn't do both 100%, but I got the True and Secret Endings of both.
They fixed the translation for the Steam version and released a patch for the 3DS version.
I like Zero. He looks alien as fuck in comparison to everyone else which is fitting considering he's a virus turned netnavi. Plus, he's from a different series so it makes sense he'd look different from the classic-based characters.
I wonder how a Battle Network based on the X series would have been.
EXE is a good fap. But my heart belongs to my daughter.
Dunno, I love the X series but I don't think the Maverick bosses are as memorable as the Robot Masters. One thing I loved about BN were the redesigns of classic bosses.
I know every Robot Master by heart, but still struggle to remember some Maverick names.
BN4 was a mistake, whoever thought it would be smart to make you play through the game 3 times over a mass of shitfest mini games and coding puzzles to unlock all the souls including having to deal with busted ass viruses needs to get slapped. It hurts that Wind Soul never reappeared, why couldn't he have appeared in Team Protoman when Gyroman is literally his ripoff?
Bet none of you even know about the phone games that will never see the light of day over here.
this making me want to replay the series
back in the day when I played I used a shitty emulator with shitty sound, and savescummed my way trough every fight and used a complete shit letter salad folder
Feels like I didn't play them properly
Circusman creeped me the hell out of me when I was a kid due to how he looked and his goofy overworld sprite dance made me creeped out more.
The satisfaction that came when I beat him when you first receive Beast Out though was amazing.
I think the worst part of BN4 was the horrible chip coding, the selection, and overall the new chips were shit. There was so much variety in BN2/BN3 but it went to shit starting with 4, 6 tried to improve it alongside make it more balanced with the memory thing so your folder wasn't broken but it was the last game in the series so it didn't matter.
Boktai was a great series, the sun sensor really worked out for it. The DS ""sequel"" fucking sucked though.
BN1 didn't age well at all.
BN4's tournament was ok, 3 had a tournament too. It was the fact that the tournament was all the game was that was upsetting. The non-tournament parts of the game were good though, especially Shademan's stuff.
Is 4.5 that good? I'll play it then.
Meddy is my navifu
If they made more chips then it would have great competitive potential
>used a complete shit letter salad folder
I actually did this when I was young when playing BN6 since it was my first game in the series. It surprisingly worked out but granted I mostly abused Slash Cross's charge attack while I had Area grab and Invisible since I wasn't good enough to get Full Synchro on SP bosses. I miraculously even beat Bass and BassSP with the shit folder but BassBX was impossible at the time.
There's Double Team DS, if you want the Bass & Sol Crosses you'll need an AR but you could always emulate. BN3/BN6 are easily the best in the series though
Then there's Starforce which isn't too bad.
DS port was for Megaman BN 5 in which it gave you both games, Team Colonel and Team Protoman.
As well as the DS port of the first Megaman BN, but that was just a remake with Starforce plot added into it.
Play the gba ones and probably get the ds port for 5 if you want to see the differences between team colonel and protoman.
>Tutorial can be skipped only on Starforce 3
>It's forced on you on BN1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and SF 1 and 2
A bit late but...
This one, anon?
Oh, you have no idea just how bad the censorship for Kids WB's dub of NT Warrior was.
>PlantMan to VineMan
>FireMan to TorchMan
>BombMan to BlasterMan
>BeastMan to SavageMan
>MetalMan to HeavyMetalMan
Every Roll is best Roll.
>>PlantMan to VineMan
>>FireMan to TorchMan
>>BeastMan to SavageMan
>>MetalMan to HeavyMetalMan
It was starforce 2 that had the option to skip the tutorial.
Starforce 3 had new things you could do with the cards like the support use and more selection options.
Yup, KidsWB butchered the shit out of the animu, where swords were blurry and round instead of rough and edgy, shots of characters aiming at the screen were strictly forbidden and the OST was replaced by generic techno crap... not that the original OST was stelar, mind you, at least not until Axess.
You had names like Spout Man, Vine Man, Spike Man, Novastar Man, Heavymetal Man, Fridge Man, Windblast Man, Moltanic Man, Savage Man, Blast Man. Can you guess who these Navis who suffered name changes were initially?
is Rockman EXE 4.5 even playable on an emulator? I remember something about it needing a "battlechip port" or some other extra stuff
If so, is there a translated version or is it jap only?
He can just download a huge one for free off the undernet. Speaking of which, I'm the guy that posted that thing about Solar Boy Django on the undernet bbs in BN5, and I still love Boktai. TAIYOOOH
Girls who are horny sluts only for the guy they love are the best of the best.
But even so, outright exclaiming she'd love to feel the megacock in her. Damn, Roll. She's a much lewder girl than I thought she was.
Shut your whore mouth, Zero is best everything.
>Sadly Falzar is the better version since it was the only one that has a patch that brings back all the Japanese bonus content that was removed
I tried searching about this patch on google but can't find it. Anyone know about it?
Zero is worst girl. And Ziz!Zero is ugly as sin.
Yeah, but they cut the scene of Lan and Mayl getting attacked by Freddy Krueger.
Zero is best girl and you are a faggot.
This artist does take it too far a lot of the time though, I mean look at this shit.
X is better than Zero, fight me.
I can't enjoy Ziz, he make the boys too girly and it's a weird type of girly too.
The mangaka intended to make a girlfriend character for him named Rhythm, but they never worked it in.
If you have a 3ds its in here somewhere https://mega.nz/#F!h4xQRLRa!Y65kQqjwdZcbx8D-vhXRbg
If not there is the patch itself here
You might need to find a japanese version the MMBN6 but that is pretty easy, everything else just follow the readme
