Gonna storytime the 1st volume of this manga, since v3 just got done and I don't think too many people are aware of it.
Brief synopsis: Military sci-fi manga about two groups of extraterrestrial colonizers fighting over a planet. The hook is that less technologically advanced group is hanging on with their female soldiers who have alien organs transplanted into their wombs.
Might sound a bit ridiculous but the story plays it seriously.
I read this when it was dumped a while back. Good shit.
>>154397882
Have you been keeping up with latest chapters? Quite a bit was revealed in v3.
I am surprised the series is only 5 volumes long. Even though v4 and 5 are longer than your average 200 page volumes, I wonder just how much the story can accomplish in the final two volumes.
>>154398084
I haven't. I only read what was dumped.
>>154398084
>I am surprised the series is only 5 volumes long
Didn't the magazine go under and she had to finish as a doujin? That might have limited the length.
>>154398214
I have no idea if that's the case. In any case, it seems v5 is 356 pages, so maybe the series length is ideal. I love series that can manage tell a tight story in less than 10 volumes.
Good stuff so far, OP. Going to sleep now, but I'll be looking into this after my tests tomorrow.
>>154398214
oh god damnit, really?
>>154399968
I just remember hearing that around the time Hox originally picked it up, I don't know if it's actually true or not.
>>154397550
Just wanted to pop in to say thanks Hox. I've been following since you released volume 1, these threads are great.
>>154400599
Glad you like it. I'm a little worried that this series will fly under most people's radar, since it's only 5 volumes and will probably be fully translated this year. It's been the most interesting sci-fi manga to come out recently that I can remember, and I don't have any complaints with it other than how the author draws faces.
>>154400801
Very different kind of sci-fi, but I thought the Uchuu no Profile collection was pretty damn good for a debut.
>>154400940
Thanks for the rec. I quite like reading oneshots and short stories.
>>154398084
I can see why it might not last too long.
This seems like a pretty odd concept desu
>>154401106
Oh shit, what?
I remember your last dump, it was a nice thread.
I'm too tired to reread it now but keep up the good work!
>>154401132
I kinda wanted to dump v3 instead but I figured most people haven't even heard of the series.
>>154401112
its like a female version of metabarons its nice
>>154401155
Yeah, without your threads I think most people wouldn't have heard about it in their entire lives.
Based Hox
Man, this makes me wish we could get a proper adaptation of Starship Troopers. Perhaps without the long monologues about government tho.
>>154400801
if you wanna plug it for something, it did recently win the Japanese SF prize, so there's that.

>>154401771
Wow, that's pretty cool considering it's competing with both movies and books, not just manga.
Definitely a unique premise.
Thanks as always, Hox.
>>154402990
>Pregnancy
>fit girls
>almost all women
thatsmyfetish.gif the manga
Thanks hox.
>>154403026
You shouldn't post images while someone else is dumping. Don't be a retard.
>>154403865
It's fine. I can always just make a new thread and threads can still be accessed for quite some time after they die nowadays.
>>154403865
Oh shit, sorry.
>>154404104
Thanks for doing Wombs, Hox. Not too many sci-fi manga around lately. And this one has a great concept and a really fascinating world.
I was really excited to see more about the niebass and what experimenting more with their abilities will lead to.
Hox, you the shit niggah, love you xoxoxox
always and forever bringing as the shizznizz of manga.
>>154397550
Thanks for the reminder, I think I was around for the v2 dump so good to know there's been an update.
Can someone explain to me how these powers work?
The way I see it it's like astral projecting themselves into the astral world of the planet their on.
Some times it just looks like they are just teleporting from one facility to another in an instant.
Is that more or less how it goes?
>>154405988
Yeah, kind of. The travelling itself is instant but it takes time for them to find and access the right point in that "coordinate space." It's pictured so far as a pitch black space but that's not how it really is. The Niebass can etch their memories of objects, life-forms, and places onto it, but you'll see how that works in v2 and 3.
Thanks for the dump, Hox. The concept is fascinating and the art is pretty neat, as well.
Definitely an engaging read, so far.
>>154405988
>>154406079
That sounded like the Warp shit from the w40k, though not similar.
Also, fucking Hox(j/k, I wanna suck your cock)for getting another anon hooked, now I'm left wondering how much the enemy knows about their womb gimmick.
>>154406792
The enemies know the basics of it, but have been unable to replicate it for themselves. From what was told in v3, it was basically a miracle that Hast even succeeded at it in the first place.
Thanks for the dump, Hox.
Gotta turn in for the night
So many questions forming in my head. Like, how extensive is this womb program being used (because based from the flashbacks and what's uploaded here so far, they seem to utilize it in mostly combative/battlefield purposes). Another is if these warring colonists came from the same home planet, or whether the seconds are really just a bunch of land-grabbing dicks or there's more into them.
But hey, that's the thrill of tuning in into a storytime thread.
>>154407299
Actually, the main duty for the transfer corps is combat-support and logistics rather than frontline duty. The flashbacks to them being human bombs was before they had adequate knowledge/control over the technology and were willing to resort to desperate measures.
The ones in the white helmets here >>154407247 are basically scouts.
>>154407522LOSS.jpg
Sorry, can't help it.
<Insert Shiji when whining here>
>>154407731
Either May or June.
>>154397550
Yo, when are you doing more Katou Shinkichi?
Will you provide a DL link when the dump is finished?
Thanks, btw.
>>154407887
it's on his blog. Go there, you'll probably find even more interesting manga to read
>>154407858
The cleaner/typesetter I work with is also the one doing Soil. So until Soil's done (only 1 volume left), I can't really get started on it. I'm hoping Soil will be finished before May but it all depends on his schedule.
>>154407920
Oh sweet. I love Soil.
>>154407887

I also release them on my site: http://hoxtranslations.blogspot.com
Alright, that's the end of volume 1. I may or may not dump v2 tomorrow night if I have enough free time.
>>154407920
Damn... I remember giving Soil a try but it didn't grab me and since it was abandoned at the time I didn't feel the need to catch up with it.
>>154407947
>no 3 sizes
oh wait, that won't matter anyway as their bellies keep growing big anyway.
Also, many thanks for the storytime.
>>154407976
Thanks for your efforts.
>>154407976
Thanks for the dump Hox. I don't read many good Sci-fi Manga but this definitely qualifies. Nice to see something played straight.
