Will we ever get any good boss monsters in these last episodes?
This has always been a stupid complaint. The oversea duelists were just as much GX characters as the original cast. The original cast were around for most of season 3. Johan actually disappeared episodes before them and by the time he came back and wasn't possessed Manjoume had already came back and talked to Shou. The Jim and O'Brien section was less than 10 episodes. It was more like 5. The whole original cast didn't die. Chronos, Hell Kaiser and Shou were still around. Kenzan and Fubuki weren't around in the beginning of GX. Just Manjoume and Asuka so you're complaining about two characters if you're bitching about OC. Judai's friends getting killed was to push his character out of its static direction and worked so well it propelled him to his incredibly high popularity. Even people who hate GX love the last 2 arcs.
Point is - they weren't needed, except maybe for Johan.
Ryo and Fubuki could easily play O'Brian's (coward duelist) and Jim's (special power user) roles.
Heck, they could explore Manjoume living with a ton of Duel Spirits instead of bringing another Spirit Duelist and make Shou ded friend instead of Johan.
That would work the same way without taking away the spotlight from usual cast.
Except they were needed. Did you miss the entire point of the early part of that arc? They were showing that there were other schools out there with big name duelists. Ryo was Hell Kaiser at that point and Fubuki being a coward wouldn't make sense given his character. Fubuki had no special powers so he didn't fit that role either.
The other spirits Manjoume lived with didn't show up after that one episode. Only the Ojamas and Ojama Yellow stuck around after Manjoume was gone.
You don't seem to understand character roles or even the characters themselves at all. Judai's friends died to push his character and show consequences to his selfish actions. Judai had always done things on impulse and it finally bit him in the ass. He was hardheaded and didn't listen to anyone. You had to kill people who'd always been around him like Manjoume, Asuka and Kenzan. Their closeness to Judai nails the point home. Shou surviving was due to him being the closest to Judai. The person who'd admired Judai more than anyone finally got fed up with his shit. Shou keeping his distance from Judai and only watching him instead of being in those situations was development for both of their characters.
>Did you miss the entire point of the early part of that arc? They were showing that there were other schools out there with big name duelists.
That wasn't really relevant to anything, and we were already aware about other duel schools.
>Ryo was Hell Kaiser at that point and Fubuki being a coward wouldn't make sense given his character. Fubuki had no special powers so he didn't fit that role either.
Ryo became Hell Kaiser because he was afraid of losing. Him fearing Supreme King would make sense. Fubuki was the vessel of Darkness for quite a long time.
>The other spirits Manjoume lived with didn't show up after that one episode
Which is a shame.
>You had to kill people who'd always been around him like Manjoume, Asuka and Kenzan. Their closeness to Judai nails the point home.
You mean people who for whatever reason shat at Judai at the start of the season for "speaking with himself" and who were more or less distant with him? They didn't show their bond in this season at all.
>Shou surviving was due to him being the closest to Judai.
Johan was way closer at that point.
>Shou keeping his distance from Judai and only watching him instead of being in those situations was development
Shou became independant in his pursuit of Ryou already at that point.
There was the 4K requested movie Pyramid of Light for DM.
Assault Mode alternate Yusei vs Jack duel for 5D's.
Some shit about an Olympic athlete for Zexal.
GX had a planned movie about the cast facing against the DM guys thanks to some misunderstanding, but Kaz pussied out.
They must save something for later collector's pack, silly anon. Same reason we don't get the oricalcos guys cards, or many support cards from 5d's, timelords, idk what from zexal, etc...
>That wasn't really relevant to anything, and we were already aware about other duel schools.
It was relevant to Viper's plan and meant to draw out Judai's potential.
>Ryo became Hell Kaiser because he was afraid of losing. Him fearing Supreme King would make sense. Fubuki was the vessel of Darkness for quite a long time.
Ryo didn't care about losing after being Hell Kaiser. He just wanted to fight strong opponents. Having him bitch up against Haou would not only destroy his aura but it would prevent his duel against Yubel from happening.
>Which is a shame.
They were excess weight on a show that already had alot of characters
>You mean people who for whatever reason shat at Judai at the start of the season for "speaking with himself" and who were more or less distant with him? They didn't show their bond in this season at all.
Bullshit. Judai hung out with Kenzan, Manjoume and Asuka all season. They didn't shit on Judai for speaking with himself. Kenzan and Shou couldn't see spirits so they didn't get it. That has nothing to do with their bond. There bond was build up over 2 seasons in the case of Asuka, Manjoume and Shou and one season in the case of Kenzan.
>Johan was way closer at that point.
Shou and Judai had been together for 3 seasons at that point. Shou was the person who was always on Judai's side no matter what. He was Judai's closest friend. Judai and Johan had a different connection.
>Shou became independant in his pursuit of Ryou already at that point.
No he didn't. Shou was still clinging to Judai and following Judai at that point. He didn't become independent until Judai got the others killed and after he talked to Ryou following the Doom Dozer attack.
I don't think you'd need 3 hours unless you're going to start nitpicking at every tiny thing.
Also if you don't have a good speaking voice for this kind of thing, I'd rather just read the script/essay.
I'm on the same situation, I forgot about it at the time.
It's honestly the only Yu-Gi-Oh! related thing I never watched. Well, that and whatever that 4K requested Capsule Monsters thing was.
I wonder if it had any new monsters that saw printing.
Reminder Ono directed this too. So he already raped the DM characters years before he raped Arc-V legacy characters. He's truly a monster.
it's not about the juggling, but the expectation vs delivery problem. Arc-V did a wonderful job to setting itself as a promising story, and that is as guilty as its own failure.
Just look at Gx, it kept its mild mediocre one till the very end, and some even argue that it improved. People usually prefer improvement over a demotion in quality.
>good boss monsters
the only good boss monster is having three of them or expendable ones, because kaijus exist
alternatively you could have a boss monster that can't be targeted, destroyed by battle or card effects and can't be tributed
Looking at the series as a whole, setting itself to be great, but failing miserably at doing so it's the same as setting itself up to failure, because it couldn't deliver what it had promised.
The amount of work and planning that was required to make arc-v a memorable show was underestimated, and I bet there was a lot of pressure from konami executives to shill specific cards. One is at fault, but not completely.
>The original Japanese version of the series has not been made public. Despite never airing in Japan, it is included on Studio Gallop's website with the title "Yu-Gi-Oh! ALEX.
So Yusuke is a hacker that solves crimes by unlocking clues in the Cyvernet, under the guise of "Playmaker".
Do you think VRAINS is going to play it safe and take a spin on Ghost in the Shell's plot, or are they going to try and succeed where the Matrix failed by adding in a shit-ton of unnecessary Eastern esoteric religious symbolism?
Now that we're 3 episodes away from Arc-V's finale, which series' ending gave you the biggest feels? Because let's be honest, it sure as hell won't be Arc-V.
>Do you think VRAINS is going to play it safe and take a spin on Ghost in the Shell's plot, or are they going to try and succeed where the Matrix failed by adding in a shit-ton of unnecessary Eastern esoteric religious symbolism?
You just sound obscenely silly. It's going to be like Applimon where there's some one-off villain of the week making trouble in cyberspace that Yusaku and his sidekick have to take care of.
The show describes him as a hacker, but after the first 2-3 episodes, the 'hacking' is just him going into VR space to duel the threat of the week. His computer skills are just there to remove arbitrary obstacles to answer the question of why any other average joe couldn't take care of the weekly villain.
This is the optimistic scenario, by the way
>This card gains 500 ATK for each monster in its Linked Zone. During either player's turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect that targets a card(s) you control: You can Tribute 1 of your monsters in this card's Linked Zone; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card.
Personally I like Zexal's ending the best, but they all have a fantastic conclusion.
At this point I'm not really expecting anything out of Arc-V, but I hope the manga version will bring something good.
Best Yugioh girl passing through
Feel the pain anon
Feel it. In your soul.
>When we thought Yuya, Yuzu and Gon confirmed for mains
>"Oh shit, MIERU'S BACK!"
>LDS was actually interesting
>Sawatari felt like he would have potential as a growing rival
>"WHAT THE FUCK, IS THAT A SYNCHRO YUYA!? 5DS REFERENCES?
>A FUSION YUYA
>WOW THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BEST SEASON EVER
And we were right. It really was the best season. Only that one
She knows a juicy tomato when she sees one.
I posted this picture, don't know why it showed something else, it even says duplicate so I'm changing the format
DM made me felt good, GX made me cry like a baby, and I didn't saw the others series.
Yes, but just be warned that:
S1: SOL with card games
S3/1: Judai discovers his homosexuality
S3/2: Shit got serious
S4: Feels, nostalgia and depression.
Here you go, but I don't really recommend you skipping first season episodes, even if they're fillers or just stupid subplots, they still nice episodes.
But the s2 episodes though...
Not him but I got you, senpai.
S2 looks empty and everyone just became the same bland character.
And the little backgrond music that plays everytime that the retard show up is annoying as fuck, shiveru guy tier.
scarf kun's host in the material plane
>Still no gif of scarf-kun's lp reaching zero
>I leave Auska to you
>Let's meet again somewhere, Okay?
>tfw marathoned Zexal 1 in preparation for XYZ Dimension
I feel robbed
Still didn't get to S2 tho
Egao only became a problem when Yuya's mother reseted him though.
When Yuto taught Yuya egao, he already knew there were times and places for everything and the middle of an invasion wasn't one of those
Unlike the Xyz dimension, Zexal 2 is actually good
I'm gonna be honestly, I've never truly finished a Yugioh Series.
Don't recall seeing or reading the end of the Original Yugioh.
Never finished the last season of GX since they never dubbed it or, when I got older and found about the subs, got bored of it.
Same with 5DS and Zexal II.
Arc-V might be the first thing I successfully watch from Start to finished sadly.
I don't doubt it, but... I really needed a time out, i really fucking hated most of the main characters in Zexal aside from Casshern and the moment i heard Kotori going Kattobingu in the second episode of Zexal II i just had to put it down and let my senses hibernate a bit
I AM predestined to go through it though because i head there's more episodes with Dyson Sphere AKA the best monster ever
It's a cool monster and its evolution kinda ruins the design, but just the fact it's even longer and bigger saves it.
Like, hell, Dyson Sphere itself is the size of Chaos Dyson Sphere's overlay unit
I used to be just like you, a pure innocent mind that didn't really care about sizes and thought it was all about the special effects
But then one day i saw these guys... And something inside of me changed... I felt myself getting... Bigger! And harder! Special Effects doesn't mean shit against one giant big monster anon!

Then why not release the PV online? Seriously, it's like less than a month away and every other spring anime has some kind of PV out, even if they're just vague slideshows. Do they want people to watch the anime or not?
Right now I just hope that this turns out to be something little more than just simply Yuzu with others living inside.
Just make it interesting and give us for example some amalgamation of all girls.
Wait, this is going to be canon? I was only joking!
>reiji has high king temujin, alexander, and ceasar on board, all hope seems lost for yuya
>yuya draws and smirks, says there's one summoning method that even reiji hasn't mastered
>yuya activates hamburger recipe, using his pendulum summoned monsters to summon hungry burger
>he then immediately tributes it and all three high kings to summon sophia, swings for game
>reiji shakes yuya's hand and says "you truly are the greatest dueltainer"
Right now we only know, that there will be only one body manyfested as final incarnation. Zarc was reincarnated as full Yuya with other boys living "inside". How will end Ray is currently unknow. Leo expect her to reincarnate as Yuzu.
What are some things that could go horribly wrong with VRAINS? I'll start
>ugh I hate dueling so much
>my parents were killed in a VR accident
no more dragons please, we've had them for five fucking shows now.
Doesnt odd eyes have it's own ritual though?
tfw Yuma never used that glorious odd eyes absolute instead of having to jump through hoops to summon fucking rebellion and raging.
There only needs destruction magician if he ran absolute
The other odd eyes extra decks are so much cooler than the stuff we get in the show.
lancer is great tho, its a foolish burial with a body and assloads of negates. Perfect for getting gravity searched out into the grave then just summon with the odd eyes advent you searched for with sky iris.
Don't jinx it and saddle the anime's fate with an even worse gimmick
Shit girl who does nothing but cheer on the side lines
Shit bro that looks retarded and also doesn't actually duel
Blatant Tournament arc within 30 episodes(I don't consider duelist kingdom to be a blatant tournament arc until the end, but a bracket style tournament can fuck right off)
i waited 114 episodes and ill get like 5 minutes of him being dead but I'll still miss best boy
>Yuri: ruined many lives and helped to destroy heartland
>Yugo: just wanted to duel with his waifu in friendship cup
>Yuto: his home became a warzone and he already got killed pretty early on the series.
>Yuya: naive kid who wants solve all problems with EGAO dueling
Okay so which Yus are worth of saving now?
Yuri didn't do anything to heartland, he just captured Ruri. Dennis was the guy who brought the invasion.
Yugo just wanted to be the new kingu. Dueling Rin would be a bonus in that process.
So what is your first impression of Yusaku as a character based on the little information we've received? And also tell us what do YOU want him to be. I'm just curious to hear what other anons think.
> You all suck
> I beat everyone
> i have every card in yugioh
> i can make any deck i want
> the Real world skill beat all
All of them, especially cowboy Zarc.
Watching Kamen Rider Ex-Aid and its eerily reminding me of Arc-V
>MC wants to make people smile
>Goes into battle still wanting people to smile
>Ally who was previously treated as an enemy told MC to make people smile while he was fading out of existence
Granted Im only on ep 14 of Ex-Aid, need 7 more to catch up, but damn, I just hope Ex-Aid won't go the way Arc-V did
Also Ex-Aid is written by
He show up in the anime.
>couldn't beat Zarc
>Reira almost destroyed him
>Can't even save his own dimension
>Company will get overshadowed by the spreading of EGAO, losing billions to Youshow
>Sandwich 2 monsters and put a big one on top of them; you're good
>Alchemically transmute monsters's potential to make an equivalent big amalgamation; you're good
>Sacrifice two monsters's lives for a bigger one; you're good
>Enslave two monsters to hold a gate from which other monsters are force to fall from; you're good
>Sacrifice monsters for a servant that has the sole job of making other monsters capable of existing; you're good
In anime it seems like there's barely any middle ground between the claustrophobic city life and the extremely quiet and technologically retarded country life in bumfuck nowhere. Except for the anime that feature cozy coastal towns.
Setting and normal summoning is the only moral summoning. Dimensional Barrier was created to enforce that.
>Forcefully convert monsters into light energy for an equally strong monster; you're good.
>Sacrifice monsters in a ring of fire to appease another monster; you're good./
Young adults and teens in nippon do indeed have a much higher rate of suicide compared to the world average suicide rate for that age group. I think it's like 50 or 60% more. East asian school systems are highly competitive and stressful on the students.
Bullying is also an issue. Not the stereotypical kind of getting called a nerd and then pushed into a locker, or 'cyberbullying', but the paralyzing ostracization kind where your entire class acts like you don't exist at all.
I have an idea for something that YuGiOh should have.
~ Turn Zero ~
During Turn Zero, both players are allowed to SET any number of spells or traps from their opening hand of five. You can also play any of those "you can discard this during either player's turn" cards, like MaxxC, at this time.
Both players decide which cards that want to set/discard and then do them simultaneously and there are no "takebacks," this is to avoid any sort of mind games that somebody might try to gather information on their opponent.
You cannot normal summon or set a monster during Turn Zero.
Then the game proceeds normally and both players can activate their set cards on the first turn player's turn.
I can see them tackling Yusaku's possible stoicism in three ways:
> He is a hero on the right path, but fails to see the bigger picture (is focused on petty hackers, instead of focusing on the big bad), an learns to do it throughout the show
>Falls into nihilism, because he sees no meaning in going after order anymore, because he isn't able to defend the cyberspace properly. Power of friendship will play a part, and a team effort is made to achieve a higher goal, showing him that you need other people
>He'll be taken out of his comfortable field of action and be thrown into a harsher environment where he needs to evolve to survive and thrive
>Bonus: He starts as a pillar of order and perfection and just enforces that throughout the show, while facing an inner demon, or an outside representation of that (something he did wrong in the past)
Can you think of any cards that you can just drop during either's player's turn (like the aforementioned Maxx C) that can special summon itself? Or one that could spontaneously special summon itself when you set a spell/trap?
If so, that would work.
Super quantal red, link slayer, kaiser vorse raider, primitive butterfly, solar wind jammer, terrortop, junk forward, evil hero infernal prodigy, LL i turquoise warbler, steelswarm cell...
If he didnt do that 4k damage, Reira wouldnt be able to asspull her way to victory.
>almost destroyed by Reira
In the end he didnt and Reira destroyed Zarc.
No one was able to save their dimensions.
Cant lose billions when you own a monopoly on extra decks summons and are the sole manufacturer of the system that duels are based upon.
Guys are any of the series worth watching if I don't have any interest in playing the game? I was bored over the weekend and watched the first few episodes of season 1 because I saw them on CR. I enjoyed it for the most part but felt like it started in the middle or some story arc.
No. Their only purpose is to advertise the game using a shonen anime medium. And they do that very poorly most of the time, since the shows extend for 3 years. You'd better by watching anime with better stories and a different focus, because Yugioh will either make you want to play the game, or frustrate the heck out of you with its poor writing.
And the reason why season 1 of the original anime seems like it starts in the middle of an arc is because that episode 1 is an adaptation of the Death-T arc of the manga.
That's because the Yu-Gi-Oh manga was originally about games and gambling in general and the card game happened later. The anime just picks up when the card game becomes dominant.
Try watching 5Ds.
DM and 5D's can go if you have no interest in the card game. GX and Zexal will need you to at least have some sort of interest and for GX you will need to have watched DM.
Arc-V is a wild ride that has the highest ups and worst downs. However, since you don't have to wait weekly, you wouldn't suffer as much for watching it. Do note Arc-V is better if you have watched GX, 5D's and Zexal due to the concept of different dimensions that is explored during the show.
If anything, try watching episode 9 of Akiba's Trip to have an idea of what the yugioh series have to offer. It encompasses a lot of common things that happen in it.
>major mechanical change
This meme needs to die.
I special summon one monster and end my turn.
Play Links then. It is not like there wasn't a lot of mandatory cards that you had to run in your deck before.
The Zoodiac engine is 3 extra deck cards, and maybe multiples of them, but you don't need them, because you can cycle them.
Zoodiacs can't out a lot of things with targeting destruction removal and their DD Warrior Lady like effect.
They facilitate R4nk play more than anything else.
In rather random news, Tumblr is attempting to change the puppy shipping (Jou/JoeyX Kaiba) into violet shipping because it's problematic. After 10+ years.
Now back to your regular program
and don't forget to buy links
It's origins are based of a degrading insult.
Too complicated, a good example is the protags (ex. Judai/Jaden) names all start with Yu which clash with the Yu4 ex. It works, just barley.
The name/what's it's called. Because since Puppy is insult. They want a less abusive, more neutral name thus violet shipping. Since Blue (eyes white dragon) + Red (eyes black dragon) = Violet (eyes grey dragon?)
Ok... so, tumblr being tumblr, but strangely... more tumblr than expected? They are actually making a petition to change a ship name?
I would wonder more why they would feel puppy being wrong. Even if in some context may be abusive, puppy is a cute dog. Like, a cute thing.
The funny thing is Joey acts a puppy. Loyal, excitable, but still not afraid to be aggressive. Those traits arguably make Puppy the perfect ship name. And no, there was no petition involved they just up'd and changed it.
Links are barely stopping anything. Even pendulum decks found ways to either incorporate or adapt to them, including DDD and OEM. The most links did was slow most of the decks aside few like Darklords and Monarchs.
Zoodiacs not being that affected by links was expected. They are broken. Period. Zoos need a banlist, or else nothing is gonna change. The whole meta will have rats splashed into it cause it will be a way to get links.
Can we just have slice of life ygo now
I wouldn't even mind a spinoff alongside mainseries, just comfy cardgames
If the original show is supposed to get kids to buy cards, just do the same thing as pokemon. We have the ashanime to shill to kids but we also got stuff like generations and origins for older players
They think it's origin is degrading but yet those are the same people that named Shun x Yuto trashbagshipping. top kek.
>for older players
Older players just play for 10 minutes on devpro, see what's the current meme decks and buy those.
There is absolutely no reason to pander to the older nostalgia crowd, because they refuse to accept what makes the yugioh card game so great.
Unless you ban all kaijus fuck kaijus
If you can rank 4, you can out nearly anything already.
The reason Kaijus are so degenerate is that there is nothing you can do about them and they don't require any specific board from you and opponent can still make their plays in the turn they Kaiju.
They're basically Book of Moon except ridiculously overpowered. Kaijus are the single most ridiculously good -1 in the game.
Also, they have a custom black hole, which searches out ANY Kaiju, usually it just deals 1100 damage, but you can go into rank 7, rank 8 plays with it as well.
Kaijus are too good.
There is no need for Kaijus to exist when R4nk is a thing, because R4nk has outs to everything already. The problem with Kaijus is just that they do the same thing, except so much better.
>especially if you play a non pendulum deck
The current tier 0 deck doesn't run a single pendulum.
I have to wonder how Kazuki feels about things like Pendulums and Link monsters, does konami run stuff like this by him or do they just do whatever they want with the card game now? I wonder if he also had anything to do with the new black luster solider and buster blader support we got recently, plus the new dark magician stuff.
Easy, instant access to "Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V is bad and you should feel bad". If you don't have a discord anon, you should invest in one; platform is smooth as fuck compared to Skype.
>Finally get to watch 5ds
>Jack vs Carly is the best thing ever
>It makes it hurt even more so that the sex cult scanal happened and everything got fucked
Why is everything good in Yugioh cursed to fall into shit eventually?
A character with so damn much potential and Ono did SHIT with him. I know Yugioh isn't the best written franchise exceot for DM Manga but something seriously worng happened in the production of Arc-V
>This file can be downloaded by premium only
Fuck, seriously? I was kinda happy in coming back home and downloading it. Back to searching I guess.
>Do note Arc-V is better if you have watched GX, 5D's and Zexal due to the concept of different dimensions that is explored during the show.
No it's not, it might be even worse since you can compare the soulless shells that are the legacy characters with their originals. And stop this misleading "wild ride" meme, after Xyz starts it's just a downward slope that doesn't stop.
>has the highest ups
Like when? If you're comparing each series' highest highs, Arc-V falls short, besides the presentation of the Shun vs Sora duel. Because most series reach those peaks in their middle or later seasons after establishing a bunch of character relationships, but Arc-V doesn't really believe in the latter.
Only if VRAINS turns out to be decent enough after 2 years. Which I doubt since NAS is terrible at making anime. Really, the fags I don't want to see anymore are the loud hypetards.
When VRAINS inevitably goes through its good and bad parts (unless it's all bad and stays that way), I bet some anon somewhere will be waiting to say
>At least when Arc-V was being shit, it was still entertaining enough to be a WILD ride!!!!
Sachi was a qt in it
Rat not getting banned is the worst thign that could happen now; tho as the Yu-gi-oh banlist in the TCG is already late ba a couple months I would not be surprised if they just wait for Links.
Rat doesn't need to be banned.
The problem with Rat is that it lets you get another xyz on top of the plays you can already make, not that she's particularly good.
Just put her at 2 and get rid of barrage.
If you limit her, she might as well be banned.
Don't the suicide stats of every age group have males making up a majority? I thought that was a general thing everyone already assumed when talking about suicide stats.
Is it possible we'll get a Yugioh Vrains Tag Force eventually? Be honest with me? I know asking one for ARC-V(Special doesn't count) its useless since the show is ending this month and it was never that popular.
>You will never be able to duel against Joeri in Vidya
>No flirting with the Ruris
>No making the Tyler Sisters your slaves
Why did Konami had to go full mobile /a/? It hurts
fuck tag force
give me the objectively superior world championship series
>Performapal Predaplant Speedroid Phantom Knight Odd-Eyes Magician deck
This is what I meant, I remember getting away with doing Performapal Speedroid Phantom Knight Odd-Eyes Magician deck about a year ago
I can't believe they killed Yugioh vidya before adding characters like Yuri, Leo, Zarc, Roger, Tyler sisters, Ruris. It would have been so fun to side with them and battle them, but now we'll never be able to do that. I'll pray for Duel Links to get those characters in the future
>Vrains will be awesome
>But then legacy characters from Arc-V will ruin everything
>Shun, Sora, Reiji and Gongenzaka shilling will change focus of the show
>Even with Sawatari returning, he won't win a single duel and won't get more than an useless additional card
I wouldn't have minded the change from 3D overworld to fully 2D game if they'd kept the rest of the shit from the TF.
>Only 5 characters voiced, not even all of the main characters
>Can only partner with voiced characters
>Card pool is outdated before the game even comes out.
>Updates banlist but never updates card pool
>No dating sim elements
>All of the AI decks are even shittier than normal
>The AI has absolutely NO idea how to play with pendulums, even Yuya clearly has no actual special coding for playing his own fucking cards.
Are all the things you listed of Tag Force Special?
Well, I've always said that if it can't be good, it could at least have waifus. Arc-V couldn't even do that, since the Ruris and Asuka were never fucking onscreen outside of a couple of small scenes after Xyz arc started.
>Yugioh game for Switch with hoverboard races and customization
MAKE IT HAPPEN KONAMI
Dude, it's a Yugioh game. You play it to play the card game without spending a ton of money. I story is nice. Each character having their own story is nice. Having dating sim elements is dumb. Nameless, faceless, personalitless player characters should never get romance in games. That self insert shit always ends up bad. If your character was just a window for you to see everything and how it develops, fine. But I don't like every Yugioh character trying to suck my dick. It makes them OOC and is jarring.
Personally i think its funny
Konami hasn't develop a Yugioh game for home consoles since the PS2.(Legacy of the duelist and millenium duels were shitty third party games made by the same people who made Barbie's house designer for DS). With handhelds going away i think Yugioh vidya is doom to stay in mobile
Japanese rumors(probably made up) has it that they are panicking after the reception Arc-V got. Some think Ono was involved in Vrains but he has been taken off the project so they are trying to get a new staff in order.
True but lets remember Konami barely did Yugioh games for the 3DS. Duel Carnival and a Half assed free2play game. If they didn't made anything worthwile for the 3DS then why would they do it with the Switch which is even harder to work with than a 3DS?
I can see execs sweating somewhat at Arc-V's infamy, but it's hard to tell how much they actually care.
>Ono was involved in Vrains
Has any director been involved with two Yugioh series in a row? Seems too much for just one guy to handle, no matter who they are. It'd make more production sense if they had scheduled Kuwabara to do DSOD and then move onto pre-production for Vrains, and that's only if he's still involved with Yugioh after DSOD instead of going off somewhere else.
I wonder how will Yuya's life be from now on now that he has the 3 Yus inside him. Damn it, just when the shows is getting good again it ends
How would you rate the Obelisk Force as Yugioh villains go in the franchise?
Needed some named characters in those outfits.
>First 50 episodes or so started off and went to good/great
>Next till 100 or so it got stale
>Next 40 or so it went bad
>Now it's stale again
>If it had more episodes, probably would get good again
Dammit! It really is like a pendulum!
What are you guys looking foward to see for the 5 minute timeskip in the last episode?
They weren't threatening after their first appearance. They get a D-.
At least give 'em a couple of strong wins. Sora, the fucking Des-Toy Mad Jobber, was the best of that entire fucking force that invaded Standard.
This guy... damn, when this guy was revealed, it was fucking awesome. I still remember people going crazy over Yuya/Yuto going crazy and over an Xyz Pendulum actually getting printed.
The Obelisk Force teached me that having elite baddies with no names is not a good idea in a card game anime.
They were redundant by the Xyz Dimension arc and they weren't even touched upon in the Fusion Dimension arc.
Its sad that its prime was against the Obelisk Force, where it was created.
After the inconclusive Duel against Sora, it got destroyed everytime it appeared, didn't even show up in the duel against Jack, and it was eventually replaced by the plot-wise unnecessary Raging Dragon.
>inconclusive Duel against Sora
And there will never be a true round 3 (Zarc doesnt count) between Yuya and Sora to show Yuya surpassing Sora. Neither will be a Yuzu vs Sora, a Sora vs Shun round 3 or a Bennis vs Sora.
Have Bennis and Sora actually ever interacted? I dont remember.
So you guys thought that new duelist pack would cover all 5 generations heh heh.
Rumors from BBS
- No Synchro or Xyz Cards
- It's primarily themed after Duel Links
- It covers cards of Duelists like Kajiki (Mako Tsunami) and Keith
- There's a lot more new cards than DM themed products have been shooting for recently
- Cards will be reprinted even if they aren't purely fit for the DM era
That, Sora vs Shun and pic related were the peak moments of Arc-V with Yuya vs. Reiji round 2 being the cherry on top
It's all downhill from there
God, I still remember this day so fucking vividly. Everybody was losing their shit everywhere
>- It's primarily themed after Duel Links
>primarily themed after Duel Links
"it's totally the wildest ride lel" triggers my autism. I'm not sure why. Maybe because there are anime you could actually describe that way, but they're dozens of leagues ahead in entertainment factor than a shounen that's almost 150 episodes and accomplished nothing.
So basically they're going to upgrade cards for the Legendary Duelists in Duel Links. So Yugi, Kaiba, Jou, Mai, Haga, Ryuzaki, Kajiki, Keith, Rishid, Ishizu, etc. Hope they retrain Legendary Fisherman or maybe Fortress Whale for Kajiki. I would be interested in seeing a retrained Barrel Dragon for Keith as well.
>to show Yuya surpassing Sora.
Yuya beat Sora in episode fucking 6. Easily, at that.
They milked it because Yuya didn't know how his own mechanic worked, but that duel was in the bag from the start.
I think they interacted a bit when the Shun VS Dennis duel (2nd time) ended, with Sora carrying over Dennis's mission or something like that. It was never really explored though, probably due to the whole "Sora had no friends back in the fusion dimension" crap setting.
I think they made it pretty clear that Sora was holding back majorly. Yuya was nowhere near the powerlevel of Sora or Shun at the beginning.
He only reached it at the end of standard arc.
Sora "holding back" was a meme that the show tried to force to make it look like Sora was an actual threat to Shun.
Mad Chimera was him no longer holding back, and look how that piece of shit turned out. I wish that he'd kept using Sabre Tiger or Scissor Tiger, but every duel after Ep 49 was "Turbo Mad Chimera; sit"
Thats mostly because all his duels after 49 were completely irrelevant. He used Tiger against his Shun rematch where he played seriously from the start and Scissor Tiger against Yuya when they seriously dueled.
I cant recall a single duel after 49 where Sora wasnt playing either literal fodder or which was the bullshit Zarc duel and I really dont think we need to talk about Edo and Sora vs Zarc.
I always kind of felt like all these sub plots the first part had going on were a major part of what made it actually great. In this respect I dont see how Im in the wrong for being annoyed at the show dropping them.
>why do you expect anyone in the audience to care about something the show itself doesn't?
This argument doesnt even make sense. I dont expect anything from the audience. Im expecting something from the show.
>I dont expect anything from the audience. Im expecting something from the show.
You were asking if anon himself forgot a small subplot that happened 2 years ago. Why should he remember?
At the very lest, I hope for a new fusion for the red eyes and a new magician girl for Yugi, like Banana Magician Girl or Orange Magician girl or even Peach or Strawberry Magician Girl or shit, a field spell that helps them out. God dammit, DM, you are more whored than Goku
>I always kind of felt like all these sub plots the first part had going on were a major part of what made it actually great.
The only thing great about the first season was the tension between XYZ and fusion which ultimately failed, including a selection of duels.
Why do you keep dancing around it? You said you didn't expect anything from the audience, but now you very clearly are.
> Its not like your brain automatically deletes your memories every 2 years or something.
It does for the information that doesn't matter.
Dont revise history. I distinctly remember people being happy about many things besides the tension between XYZ and fusion.
They were happy for Yuzu being a relevant female lead for a change. They were hype for Yuyas first HITOTSUNI. Fuck, the were even people celebrating the LDS trio for being more relevant than simple fodder.
Okay, I am expecting from people in general to not have the memory capabilities of a gold fish. Does that answer please you?
Why are we even arguing this? I mean I didnt literally mean it in the sense of me asking that the anon really forgot about it. I honestly didnt even consider the possibility that there are people forgetting this kind of things.
Smile, /a/rc-v. Finally it's all coming to conclusion
>I remember people were happy
Opinions change over time.
People are pissed because Yuzu became an annoying damsel in distress, to the point where her stuff in standard was deduced.
Yuya's hitotsuni became so half assed after being cockblocked a couple of times.
Yes, because people love GX and Konami is very much in tune with what people love.
