That's the thing, though. Most websites lists the author's gender as "Unknown". The one (english) website that does list it as "female" doesn't give a source and is also freely editable by anyone. Not even japanese wikipedia lists the gender. The author's birthday is unknown, too. It also seems like they haven't made any public appearances.

It's based more on the fact the director, Takaomi Kanasaki, doesn't force animation consistency between animators so each of them try to inject their own personality in each frame. Therefore each face is expressive and no two are the same, which I kind of find admirable from a creative standpoint.
