Is it just me or did this have the weirdest ending ever?

The tonal shift was pretty weird too from realistic to superpowers were real. And thats not even mentioning the part where the girl gets raped, has ptsd, and overcomes ptsd by lezzing out with her best friends when you thought she was gonna be mc's waifu.

Its been about a year since I've watched it so some details might be a little off but goddamn. Its such a dark show that plays itself as being really fun.

Pretty entertaining show though if anyones interested.

I really regret dropping this anime when it was airing. I'm desperate to talk about it.

I have so many thoughts about it.

I've probably never enjoyed an anime as much as I enjoyed Ange. Every episode desperately tried to outdo the last in terms of dumb bullshit, like dislodging a traincrash by sending in more trains. It's fantastic to watch.

Ange is just a very honest show as no one involved cleary took it very seriously, and compared to Sunrise's other show at the time (Reconguista) that was probably for the best.

I would love to know what happens next. I don't know shit about the manga, but I would like some story line in which the humans are now led by a grown up and insane Sylvia, and they attack the nation Ange founded, who then has to rebuild and take revenge.

I don't know... CA has a rare case(for anime) of a decently conclusive and satisfying ending. Making a sequel would require too much of an asspull and will probably end up being shitty anyway.

Also seems like Sylvia is OK with Ange in the end and the former Mana world should now realize perfectly well that the whole norma hate stuff was bullshit. I guess there could be a story where some people from it would want to re-capture the dragon to get mana back but that world at this point is too desolate and they don't have any tech or skill to fight the dragons since they relied on Mana or normas all their lives and they suck at everything else.

I just have questions about the world. What happens with the Normas now? How do they lead normal lives? They had teenage girls getting slaughtered and maimed, the PTSD has to be completely crippling for the weaker Normas.

I don't consider it strange anymore. I sorta knew about Nana before this show but never was a fan of her. I loved Yukarin and Eri before but didn't know most of the cast anyway. Since I watched it I became a big fan of ask of them and always look out for their roles. And watch shows solely because they are in.
